THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: October 20, 2013, 04:11:20 pm »

The defense for being absolutely atrocious on third down

The line for horrible blocking at critical times.

This was a horrible game for Tannehill yet if it went for him we would never be in the game. I say him although I do believe our offensive line is the worst I've ever seen on a professional team. They are much worse than I had imagined and knew they were bad.

Mike Sherman all the way.. Have a lead with under 3 min left on the plus side of the 50. All he had to do was run the ball, use clock, force Buffalo to use timeouts on defense....then punt! And considering Miami had 120 or so yards rushing they would have probably gotten a first down anyway. But even if they punt Miami probably wins. Buffalo's offense did little to nothing all day

Lots of blame to go around on this one, but Tannehill was awful today.  I'd blame the line, but he was terrible even when they were blocking.

Tannehill had a bad start to the game, but did everything right after that. There was no way he could have avoided the two sacks (the last of which cost the game). Those were 100% Tyson Clabo.

Anyone giving the SotG to anyone but Clabo was reading stat lines and not watching the game.

The sacks didn't cost anyone the game. Handing the other team 6 points on the opening drive INT is what cost them. -EK

The first pick was directly because he had someone in his face almost immediately. Even when he wasn't getting sacked he was being pressured. That's why we had so many times our offense was pathetic.

Our o-line is horrible and doesn't deserve any defense.

100% agree. Mike Sherman and Clabo are the 2 people that lost this game.

Blaming something that happened on the opening drive is MORONIC when the Dolphins were in the lead in the second half. Had the opening drive been different, the whole game would have been different.

What lost the game, clearly, was the strip-sack courtesy of Tyson the Turnstile Clabo.

Could the Dolphins have completely dominated the game; the defense pitching a shutout and the offense scoring 50+ points, making any late-game strip-sack a non-issue? Sure, but that argument is just dumb.

Tannehill and here is my reasoning. One of his two glaring mistakes directly led to putting points on the board for Buffalo and the other likely took points off the board for Miami. In a close game like this that hurts bad.

Clabo does get my honorable mention though because his two glaring mistakes could not have come at worse times.
