Tannehill and here is my reasoning. One of his two glaring mistakes directly led to putting points on the board for Buffalo and the other likely took points off the board for Miami. In a close game like this that hurts bad.

Those two interceptions clearly helped shape the game, but we're still talking about mistakes in the FIRST quarter of a game that the Dolphins lead from early in the 3rd until the Clabo Clown pied himself.

Timing doesn't matter when we are discussing points as far as I am concerned. Those mistakes directly created up to a 14 point swing in a game where the final score was determined by two points. The argument is six one way half a dozen the other at that point (the points don't matter if Clabo doesn't mess up or Clabo's mess up doesn't matter if we had those points). I understand the Clabo vote and he was initially mine until I started thinking about where the points directly were reflected.

I'm on the fence because there is so much to go around...so many huge mistakes.

But I think I have to give it to Tannehill.  He deserves great credit for keeping it together and getting us out of the hole, but it's a hole that he created in a game that should've never even been close.

It's not just that he had 3 turnovers. (2 really, that directly attribute to him).   But those 2 specifically were terrible decisions all on him and they happened to lead directly to a swing in points.  7 points on the INT and another in the red-zone where you're definitely giving up at least 3 points.

The fact that he played well otherwise speaks well to the future, but didn't help with today.

I'd also like to mention special teams.  Two pretty big errors: Sturgis miss -- yes, it was 51, but makeable and had distance to go 0-1, a STUPID STUPID illegal touching call on a great roll on a punt, and Fields shanking a punt to give away field position.

The line's mistakes were costly because of timing, but they only gave up 2 sacks and generally Tannehill had better time to get things done.

And the defense did give up on 3rd and longs consistently, because of poor tackling and such, but overall, their points allowed and yardage given up were respectable.

It's just gotta go to Tannehill, unfortunately.

100% to Tannehill who absolutely stunk up the joint.

He consistantly underthrew balls, and I am aware that back shoulder passes often look underthrown but he made catching the ball nearly impossible.  Then he manages to overthrow Hartline on a guarenteed TD at the end.

The pick 6 alone is enough to be a candidate for SOTG.

He fumbled the ball in a situation where taking a knee would have probably won the game.  In essence, he single handedly lost the game with that fumble.  Tannehill has damn near zero peripheral vision or pocket awareness.

Did anyone notice the way he ran directly into the nose tackle with no other defenders around on the QB draw?  The nose tackel literally stood there and waited for Tannehill to run into him instead of letting Incognito re-engage his block.  Moron.

This is the second week in a row he stunk up the final posession.  He couldn't find a way to get 15 yards in nearly 40 seconds.

Look, I am not saying it is all Tannehill's fault but put the blame where it is due.  He gave that game away with the pick 6 and fumble.

This actually made me laugh out loud.

That was not an easy throw since he was on the move, but Hartline was wide open. I'll admit I just about jumped out of my seat until I realized it wasn't going to connect.

As did I. I thought they were about to pull it out of their ass.....

This game is on Tannehill. Yeah the O-line sucks and Sherman's play calling was terrible. Ryan accounted for 3 turnovers period. 1 for a (Matt Shaub) pick 6 that put us in the hole and another in our endzone which kept us from getting any points on that drive. The last he fumbles in a critical point in the game with good field position for the Bills. And as we all knew deep down inside that Carpenter would come back to beat us and he did. He had some really great points yesterday as well but without those 3 very costly mistakes the Phins win that game!!!!!

How do you guys forget about the 3 passing touchdowns.     Remember Miami was ahead 21-20.   After all of the hits tanny took yesterday, all year .  Miami was in a position to WIN.  Had turnstyle clabo actually done his job this would not be a discussion.   At worst Miami would have punted and make buffalo go the distance of the field with the game on the line with a 3rd string qb, who was not lighting up the scoreboard all day.   Clabo deserves this loss on his shoulders alone.    Tanny's pick six by that point was nullified because Miami was ahead.

Otherwise you might as well blame Sturgis because he missed a fg and we lost by 2.   (sounds crazy doesn't it?).     Watch the game.  The turning point was the sack, strip, fumble courtesy of clabo.

WTF??

Some of you guys are smoking something... Give Ricky back his stash and then go back and look at the timing of when Tannehill releases and what Hartline is doing (use the all-22 if you have NFL Game Rewind). Hartline isn't running full speed. He changes directions and contacts the defender trying to get separation. Had he gotten free and just run, Tannehill's pass would have been just fine. On a long bomb like that, there's absolutely no way for the quarterback to know what moves the receiver will have to make to break free. Unless the receiver gets free very early, it's a complete crap shoot with regards to the timing.

Putting that on Tannehill is beyond ridiculous.

I think I said it wasn't an easy throw. Maybe you should have something to smoke because you seem to not comprehend what I said while you are in a sober state. I did not make mention of anything about timing or blame at all. All I said was the guy was wide open (which he was at the point he was on the TV screen).

If you wanted to quote someone who put blame on that throw you should have looked elsewhere. I blame Tanny for a couple other ones but not this one.

I was pointing out facts.....he turned the ball over 3 times yesterday....that lead us to a loss. I am not saying he is totally at fault for the fumble he got rocked but he did in fact turn the ball over 3 times.

Hartline wasn't "wide open" (or, indeed, open at all) when Tannehill released. If Hartline had suddenly decided to run backwards, he would have been "wide open" as well (and the ball would have been even further from him).

So you still want to use me as an arguing point on something I'm not placing blame on?

Your right.  Hartline AND Gibson were both WIDE OPEN.  (I think it was Gibson)

Seriously though, there was another receiver very close that absolutely was open before the release.  I think it was Gibson.
