Forcing turnovers when you're on defense is good, not bad.

Not turning the ball over when you're on offense is good, not bad.

Claiming a team is fraudulent because they have an excellent turnover ratio is ridiculous, not logical.

If you make the playoffs at all, how much of a fraud can you be??
If you win [x] number of games, how can you possibly be a fraud?  I mean, you make the playoffs based on the number of games you won, right?

If you make it to the playoffs and consistently lose to teams with worse records (at home!), then your gaudy record is not an accurate representation of your playoff performance... and consequently, the actual quality of your team.

In other words, you're a fraud.

92% of all teams who make the playoff's lose a playoff game.

92% don't lose at home to teams with worse records, though.

Conversely, on average each team that makes the postseason (in a given year) wins 0.92 playoff games.  Teams that lead the league in turnover ratio have averaged less than half that.

This just sounds like sour grapes. Miami isn't going to win as many games as KC; their defense isn't as good; and they're likely not going to make the playoffs. If KC is a fraud, what does it say about the Phins? People who root for teams from glass houses shouldn't throw absurdity bricks. -EK

You mean like a Panthers fan who comes to a Dolphins board simple to talk about how terrible Miami is?

I'm realistic. If Miami was better I'd say so. The Chiefs are better, so I did. When have I every touted Carolina as a great or even "good" team. This year they'll be happy to get 8 wins. But I'm not ridiculous enough to look at the only undefeated team left, who has a stellar defense and is miles ahead of my team, and call them a fraud. -EK

...which also applies to several other teams in the league that I have not accused of being frauds.

If this is just my jealousy of KC at play, why am I also calling out a decade of other teams that have led in that statistic?

That unlike KC, MIA's final record is likely to be an accurate predictor of their playoff performance (or lack thereof)?

Why do you do ANYTHING in any and every thread here, whether Dolphins-related, sports-related, or unrelated to anything else at all? To be disputatious simply for the sake of being disputatious.

At the end of the year, at minimum, 20 teams would be pretty happy to be a "fraud" like KC. -EK

I'm realistic. If Miami was better I'd say so.

No you wouldn't. You would go hide and never return to this board again. Like on weeks when Miami wins a game you are nowhere to be found

Actually, leading the league in turnover ratio does say fraud.  As I have previously pointed out, the last ~10 teams to lead the league in turnover ratio have averaged less than half of 1 win in the playoffs (where you play against teams that don't beat themselves for you).

This is actually 100% true. We will know if KC is a fraud or not if they beat Denver just once. Just once! In another thread some are talking about the "quality wins" Miami has and it only being "one"....name the "one" quality win KC has? Best team they have beat is Dalllas. That ain't saying much. Granted they didn't make the schedule out but lets see how they do when they play a "real" team. They have played a who's-who of losers the first part of the season minus a decent Dallas team. Decent...not great!

If making it to the playoffs and immediately losing is the threshold for happiness, then KC fans are in for a good year.

If going from the worst record in the league to the playoffs in one season doesn't warrant some happiness, then you know nothing of happiness...

Would this mean that the 2008 Dolphins were also a fraud, and deserve no reason for happiness? -EK
