^^^^^

The Clabo situation is eerily similar, if not identical, to Marc Columbo in 2011

There is a fine line between a "veteran" and just being "old"....I think Clabo crossed that line this year.

It ain't coaching, it ain't scheme when guys just beat you like a drum play after play. He is slow. Not much else too do.

This is the point I was trying to make... it's known that Clabo is not good in space.  He's not athletic enough to be left alone on a DE.  You need to adjust your scheme to give him help with a back or TE chipping.  Apparently everyone except Miami knows this!

McKinnie is 34.  So, we're replacing an "old guy" with and older guy?

I'm not convinced McKinnie is the answer.  Especially if we're magically going to try to make him play RT.  I don't know how to handle this.  I'm hoping we didn't give up the farm for an aging veteran just to show that we're trying to improve.

That said, McKinnie was very solid toward the end of last season.  If he can be THAT good, maybe its a good move.

I think that if the zone blocking scheme is what is causing problem, maybe that's where the changes need to be made.  I, too, fail to understand how a guy rated as 5th best RT in the league last season by PFF turns into utter garbage just by changing the color of his helmet.

It's an 8 week band-aid fix. All you can do come Week 8 when you have a glaring problem.

That's just damned good comedy there...
