*except Miami, who will apparently be the first team to lose to the 0-8 Buccaneers

Yeah, isn't that gonna suck next Monday?  My best friend is a huge, and I mean huge TB fan, and we're heading out to watch the game together.  I told him you may well have your 1st win of the season.  He said "No way, Tampa is really, really bad".

And my response? "Well, Miami is classic for under performing against bad teams"

I don't want them to lose on national TV on a Monday game against a punchless TB team.

Dammit, we need that game for all the shit coming down on us right now.

Monday's game will tell us a lot about this team.  They will either quit or come together. Seeing as how it seems like they feel they need to support Richie I would guess come together but with all the distractions I'm not sure how they can.

I have a difficult time focusing on my work with all this going on.  People keep talking about it non-stop in my office.  How on earth do the players focus on game plan and beating another (very hungry) team with 2000 media members in the locker room asking questions about THIS situation and not about the game?

I wish they could close the facility to the media for the week, citing excessive distraction.  I see no way we beat the Bucs this week with this much extra-curricular activity in the locker room.

Exactly.  Can't have a screwed up locker room and expect to win.  Get rid of the ass-hats, create a supportive working environment, and build some character.

Good measure of Philban's leadership.  NEP won 17 games after camaragate.

According to the players still there they already have that.

Well after the debacle of a loss to the Bucs, the Dolphins are clearly NOT better than any team that remains on their schedule.  A team that starts 4-5 has an 11% chance of making the playoffs, obviously the playoffs are out of the question this year.  I'm sure they will win a game or two, perhaps get to (7) wins, worst case scenario they win a couple to appear they are back in the race so that they can disappoint us down the stretch.

So for the remainder of the season I'd really like to see the rookies get some meaningful game time.  Martin and Incognito need to be waived by next Friday, everyone knows they aren't coming back, so they really have zero trade value; time to put them behind us.

What do you guys wanna see the rest of the year??

They might keep Incognito for a few weeks until it becomes more mathematically cap sound to dump him after his suspension is up.  I don't know if there's any loophole to exploit with Martin.

Well they have done it, made me feel like they have a good shot at the wildcard spot.  Both Miami and Baltimore play the Pats @ home, and Miami has the Bills on the road and the Jets @ home.  While the Ravens have a tougher schedule with Road games @ the Lions and @ the Cowboys.  I see Miami going into the final week with a game lead over the Ravens and having to beat the Jets at home.

Hopefully, the Pats game is a wash for both teams, meaning we need to beat the Bills and Jets to get in. If the Cowboys need to win to get into the playoffs, then we are screwed. Dallas Cowboys in Week 17 are like A-Rod in October sans 2009.

The Ravens don't play the Cowboys this year.  Their final game is @CIN, who will either be playing for a bye or for the division.

Cincy will be playing to NOT face the Ravens 2 weeks in a row. Cause after today Indy is the 4 seed (and  is pretty much locked in there with 3 to play) and KC is locked in at the 5 seed. So if Cincy wants to avoid the Ravens in the playoffs, beat them week 17 so you don't see them Round 1. Cause I don't think Cincy wants to see Baltimore a team that has their number in recent years in the playoffs.

NOW, if the Pats lock up the 2 seed, then Cincy with no BYE week might just lay down and play back-ups vs Baltimore week 17. Show them nothing and just get ready for a re-match 6 or 7 days later. But last time Marvin Lewis did that, (2009) he lost Week 1 of the playoffs to the Jets. Laid down Week 17 and lost to the Jets. Lost to the Jets in his building the following week in the playoffs. I hope Marvin learned his lesson.

Stealing one next week would be huge.
