Looking at the remaining schedule it is certainly tougher than appeared at the start of the season.

@ Tampa     LOSS
Chargers 4-4
Panthers  5-3
@ Jets 5-4
@ Steelers 2-6
Pats 7-2
@ Bills 3-6
Jets 5-4

Chargers and Panthers playing better.  Jets defense playing good and winning games.  Steelers better than record, and it's a cold road game.  Already lost to the Bills at Home, now it's a cold road game with their starting QB back.  I see a handful of plays being the difference between a 7-9 team and a 9-7 team.

Not to mention you lost two players from you OL and it wasn't that good to begin with.

Yeah, I was specifically not mentioning that, there are enough threads already on that topic.   Roll Eyes  Would rather focus on the ability of the opponents.

Said this weeks ago. Miami is a 7-9 team this year. The Panthers- who someone here called a joke- are only a game out of first place. The Jets defense is going to hammer anyone it plays. Pittsburgh in the cold is a hard game. The Pats are starting to play like the Pats again. Buffalo already beat Miami once. Still standing by TB getting a win this week. -EK

The Jets have given up the 5th most points in the NFL. There defense is very average this year. Chargers are coming back to earth. Buffalo on the road will be tough. Panthers will be tough. Pats of course will be tough. 4-4 and every game left is winnable. Anywhere from 7-9 wins is realistic.

Honestly I'm not worried about losing Martin and Incognito. Our o-line sucked with them not sure it can get much worse without them. If anything it might light a fire under Sherman's ass to get more creative with the playcalling. Hell Lamar Miller just ran all over a good Cincy defense and Martin didn't play and Richie sat most of the game. So, like I said not having them won't hurt as much as some think

Maybe joke was the wrong word. More like frauds. They haven't beat a team with a winning record this year, and lost to the Cards and Bills.

Be careful using the word "fraud" on this forum.  Around here, every team is as good as their record* and if you think otherwise, you're probably just being argumentative.

*except Miami, who will apparently be the first team to lose to the 0-8 Buccaneers

So in Miami's case, wooden house with glass windows?  Because Miami has beaten two division leaders.

Not saying the Bills loss wasn't bad for MIA, because it was. Just saying you lost to them too and you conveniently passed over my argument that CAR hasn't beat a legit team yet.

Actually that hasn't been discussed.  The threads are about hazing, no discussion of how your swiss cheese o-line has two more holes.

This is why I hate this team, because they should be 6-2 if not 7-1 if you want to go full fledge with the refs costing us the Pats game. How the hell did we lose to the Bills and Ravens?

After seeing these team's records, I no longer believe 9-7 is even a possibility, not after the hit the O-Line just took with Incognito gone.

I didn't pass over it. What do you want me to say? You're right. You play the schedule you're given. It's not Carolina's fault they have had an easier schedule than Miami. I'm not even disputing that. This isn't a Panthers board, though, and the topic was Miami's last 8 games, not Carolina's.

In related playoff (but non-Dolphin) news, I think it's noteworthy to add that between the 5 common opponents of the Chiefs and Broncos, Denver has outscored the five by a total of 85 points, while KC has outscored them by 78. Not bad for a fraudulent team. -EK

Only reason we're talking about the Panthers here is your passive aggressive response regarding my comments in a different thread.  Fair enough though, Carolina has taken advantage of a weak schedule so far and I can't fault them for that.

Care to make a friendly avatar wager on the MIA v CAR game?  Winner picks a new avatar for the loser until after the Super Bowl.
