The players seem to be pretty upset with most of the accusations going on.

"I've been here five years and coach Philbin has done nothing but turn this organization in a positive direction, from top to bottom. To hear some things about what's not going on here, and what is going on here. It is unfortunate. It's wrong. It's ridiculous. And it's hard to hear.

The funny thing is I've already seen media saying they are disgusted with the Dolphins players for throwing Martin under the bus. Heaven forbid he is actually to blame for this mess.

DAVIE – If the Miami Dolphins are going to be drug through the mud they plan to do it swinging and united as a team.

After having 48 hours to process the troublesome relationship between teammates Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito, the team's role in the national narrative on bullying, and the culture of an NFL locker room, Dolphins players openly expressed anger toward their portrayal.

Numerous players stood up for their coaches, and their suspended teammate, Incognito, who many say is being vilified because of his troublesome past, and an inappropriate voice mail he left Martin last April.


Defensive end Cameron Wake, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and defensive tackle Paul Soliai, three of the six players on the leadership council, all stated that if they knew Martin was having problems inside the locker room, or with Incognito, they would have found a way to addressed it.

"The whole situation is unfortunate, but I know the type of guys we have around us. Guys are professional and well above board."

"To challenge the leaders, to character of this locker room is wrong," receiver Brian Hartline who also said Martin rarely hung around his teammates, and when he did it was Incognito who had coerced him to come out.

"We do have leaders. We do have guys that do stay focused. We have guys that do believe in the process, and do believe in coach [Joe] Philbin, and coach [Jim] Turner, and the O-line coaches, and Mike Sherman," Hartline continued. "We understand, whether people believe it or not, winning cures all."

While the tone of the locker room seemed to favor Incognito, Hartline stressed the team isn't picking sides.

"It's about telling what's true, and what's not truth," Hartline said. "Richie is a guy that is purely having his past haunt him right now. That's all that's happening. He's a guy that I enjoy hanging out with. He's a guy that I trust."

Dimitri Patterson sidelined again

Cornerback Dimitri Patterson (groin/shoulder) and linebacker Jelani Jenkins (foot) were working on the side during the portion of Wednesday's practice the media watched. Linebacker Koa Misi (knee) was limited.

Jelani Jenkins, the rookie from Florida, who was getting a bigger role as part of the nickel defense package in recent weeks, left last week's Cincinnati game in the first half with a foot injury and didn't return.

Cornerback Nolan Carroll, who left the Bengals game with a concussion, returned to practice. He replaced Patterson as the starter. Tight end Dion Sims, who missed the Bengals game with a toe injury, is also back at practice.

I believe you're right, the media will be ALL OVER the Phins.  Personally, with the shit that has happened and the voice of the players the last couple of days, they take their frustration out on the Bucs and destroy them, 27-10.

Well, 27 pts is not destroying 'em, but for MIA that's a breakout!
