What a BS arrest.  Barely speeding, then they had to search just to find a couple J's, after bringing in a drug sniffing dog.  C'mon.

10 grams of marijuana is not a couple of joints. Plus there was more in a back pack. 48 in a 35 is not "barely" speeding. That is almost 40% over the speed limit. You will get pulled over just about anywhere for doing almost 15 mph over.

^^^ If it is crippy, that's between $100-$150 worth of smoke, depending on what total quantity you're getting (FL prices). If you twist up a normal-sized joint, not a pinner, not a bomber, but a pretty standard bone, you can get about 10-12 joints out of a quarter ounce, so he had "roughly" the equivalent of 15-18 joints, plus whatever was in the backpack.

The preceding breakdown was provided by someone with 37 years of smoking Mother Nature's finest...

I do not doubt your expertise. But it is more than a "couple of J's".

I know...I said that it was actually between 15-18 joints. I was actually supporting your comment there.

...and my expertise in the way of fiscal marijuana management is definitely unimpeachable. Grin

Jason Snelling just got arrested for almost the exact same reason as Bowe

Marijuana was made legal in two states last year.   It's only a matter of time before it's made legal in all 50 states.  The question is, will the NFL take it off their banned substances list when that happens.

I doubt that pot is going to become legal in all 50 states any time soon.  In fact it remains illegal in those states that have repealed the state ban because it is illegal under federal law.

However, IF it does become legal, I would suspect that it would cease being banned by the NFL.  It does not banned under the "Policy on Anabolic
Steroids and Related Substances" but "the NFL Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse." Players are prohibited from smoking pot not because it PED, but because it is illegal.

Not to defend Ireland too much, but between Bowe, Wallace and Jennings, he was going to lose anyway no matter who he signed.
