Problem with the contender theory is any team can take him off the waiver wire so he could be playing for the Bucs next week.  He still has two years on his contract so yes, a team out of it for this year could add him for next year.

Reed is done anyway. He can't move. He was embarrassing himself on the field in Houston. Don't think that will change in NY

True.  But b/c of the offset he isn't going to get make any money of the the deal.  So try to get onto Denver, NE, Cinci, Seahawks or Saints.  A team that gives him a chance at a second ring.
