I'm going to give mine to Brenner even though he had a sack that he gave up.  His first start and he played pretty well overall.

Tannehill continues to find receivers and even helped our running game. That's big. I have to give props to Brenner who went from practice squad to his first NFL game and did pretty darned good!!

Further props to Brenner as Dave Hyde had this to say

With Mike Pouncey out with a reported illness, the Dolphins promoted Sam Brenner from the practice squad to start on Sunday. No doubt they saw him as the best option. And he must have played well … But it can’t go unnoticed in doing so the Dolphins bypassed third-round pick Dallas Thomas and Danny Watkins, who were on the actual roster. This isn’t to question Brenner being the choice at all (coaches see and grade actual practices). But if Brenner was better than Thomas and Watkins, why was he on the practice squad until this point? That said …

Because they could hide Brenner on the practice squad. If Thomas goes to the practice squad someone may grab him. Pretty sure Watkins isnt eligible for the practice squad.

Understand but it does say a lot about more of our draft picks.

I'm going to give my Game Ball to Daniel Thomas. This is the most physical running I've seen a back in Miaimi in ages. Why can't he be like that every week? He was getting hit at the line of scrimmage, shaking off tackles and pushing for that extra yard as he finally got dragged down.

Tannehill had a really good game as well and you've gotta give props to Brenner for holding his own in his first ever NFL game.

Charles Clay was amazing.  He gets my game ball.

Yesterday was the first time I can remember Clay having a really big play that he created, one that wasn't caused by a defensive breakdown.  I like him as a player, but to me, he never looks comfortable catching the ball and running.  All that changed yesterday.  He caught the ball in stride and smoothly turned up field.   He looked like a different player to me.

Honorable mention to:

the offensive line - with all the missing players, I was expecting a disaster.  They held it together.
Mike Sherman - finally some roll outs.  The play calling was less predictable.  Going pass-happy was the only option.
Tannehill - it's a shame he had that pick to mess up his stats.  He was fooled badly on that play, but overall he played well.
Daniel Thomas - was enough of a threat to keep the Chargers honest.  No question he ran hard all day.

I want to give my game ball to Brent Grimes.  He's a bright spot that always plays with intensity.
