1) Charles Clay has somehow emerged as a very good tight end. I would be thrilled if he finished with his totals right now, let alone what he is on pace for. I don't know what happened, but good for him.

2) Olivier Vernon has 5.5 sacks in the past 3 games. He is coming on strong and is a very good, young player.

3) Hartline is a legit 1,000 yard receiver. He is on pace for 1,000 again and he has good repoire with Tannehill.

Basically, our problems are the trenches. Bill Parcells famously believed that your lines are the most important part of your team and we suck at them. Our O-Line is garbage and we can't stop the run anymore. So, we are set with talent everyone else but those. Hopefully, things change for next season.

There, that's as positive as I can get.

Clay is a decent receiver but he's far from being a very good TE. His blocking is nothing to get excited about and while he does well when he gets open, he's not that difficult to cover. Clay has done well subbing for Keller, but we still need a TE who can block for backs as well as make difficult catches down the seam. I had high hopes that Keller would be that guy, but alas he seems too injury prone to give him another shot.

Clay is a GREAT H-back. If Miami can get  legit #1 TE next year, it will open up this offense alot.  Imagine having a quality pass catching TE and Clay as an H-Back on the field together. Match-up nightmare for linebackers and safety's

Keller's injury was really bad. So bad that I hope Miami doesn't re-sign him next offseason and looks elsewhere for a TE. I think Egnew will be let go. Simms is a blocker and not much of a receiver. They need a #1 TE badly on this offense to open things up
