He won't, Houston is a great fit for him. The team is actually pretty talented, they just needed a QB and new coach. If he opts for the draft, they will have both. I can see him pulling a Luck in Indy, only actually being as good as their record.

Let's ask Matt Barkley what he would do as soon as he is finished getting Gatorade for Nick Foles.

He's very Lucky (pun intended).  The same can't be said for guys like Matt Barkley and Landry Jones

Luck could have taken 2011 off and he still would have went no later than #3.  He was already the Anointed One.

Take the money, stupid.

There is some logic to saying in school.  Pete Carrol was right about Sanchez, he would have benefited with another year of college football, before attempting the transition to the pros.

So if he had stayed in college another year, then maybe he would have been made it to back-to-back conference championship games?

Sanchez is just about the best example of someone who robbed the bank by coming out early.

JaMarcus Russell disagrees.

JaMarcus Russell disagrees.

I still remember people getting all hyped up when JaMarcus Russell threw a 70-yard pass from one knee. I tried to tell folks that arm strength means nothing if the QB is so brain-dead that he needs a cheat sheet to spell his own name.

That presumes that Russell would have made less money by staying in for another year, or landing in a less-ideal situation.

Russell and Leaf stole money, sure.  But Sanchez uniquely benefited from coming out early and landing in a situation to artificially inflate his value.

Houston just reached an agreement with former Pats assistant and current Penn State coach Bill O'Brien.  That's now a guarantee that Bridgewater is going to Houston.  If there is anyone who can recognize the bake of a franchise quarterback, it's him.
