CB Brandon Browner visiting with NE today, expected to sign there. He has to serve a 4 game suspension but still if the Pats sign him they have the best CB duo by far in the league.  Brady still has no weapons but defensively the Pats are improved greatly

I don't know about that.  Browner's replacement (Byron Maxwell) was pretty much outplaying him in Seattle, and I think Sherman has overtaken Revis.  Even if you disagree, there's no way that Revis+Browner is better than Sherman+Maxwell by far.

Yeah didn't think about the Sherman/Maxwell combo, slipped my mind. Either way the Pats are greatly improved in their secondary

I guess the Pats realized that just having Brady put up scores was not enough to win a SB when your defense is average.  Especially when Brady doesn't have the targets he used to have.

^^^ and that is why to NE the four game suspension is pretty much meaningless.

NE doesn't need help in the secondary to win the AFCE and a play off spot, but NE needs to improve on defense to win the big one.
