I was doing some digging around to see if anyone had mentioned the implications of Jerry being signed by NYG, and came across this article from November of last year:

But that was just hazing, the Giants said Monday. That was nowhere near as wild and horrifying as the whirlwind that’s ripped the Miami Dolphins apart this week.
Young offensive lineman Jonathan Martin has left the team after allegedly being harassed by veteran Richie Incognito through a series of racially charged and heavily threatening text messages and voicemails.
“I was definitely trying to put myself in Jonathan’s shoes and see if it was identical to my situation,” Amukamara said Monday. “Last year, with what I went through, I’m still sticking to my story. That wasn’t bullying at all. That was just fun in the locker room.”
“There was nothing going over the line with us,” added safety Antrel Rolle. “It was a fun act. Other people took it and blew it up, but we know how we are here and what took place here. Definitely nowhere near the same circumstances that’s been going on down there.”
Amukamara’s cold tub dunking, which was caught on video by punter Steve Weatherford, was never anything personal, veteran Giants corner Terrell Thomas said. Instead, it was standard practice, punishment for failing to put up with the Giants’ standard rookie rites of passage.
“In our locker room, it’s simple, said Thomas. “Do what we say and you won’t get hazed. If you don’t, you’ll get thrown in the cold tub or your shirt will get cut up.
But that’s about it. Prince was talking back that day, so he got thrown in the cold tub.”
Amukamara wasn’t technically a rookie when that incident happened, but he’d missed much of his rookie season battling injuries. He admitted he wasn’t happy being tossed into the tub but added that “we know we need to respect the situation.”
He added that “right after the tub, everything was great with the players.”
Martin’s situation, however, is radically different, Amukamara stressed.
“Anything that’s racial or threats, that’s the definition of bullying or harassment,” he said.---
Amukamara was not a rookie (as noted), but I suppose it's plausible that they may have "extended" his rookie status because of his injury absence. In any case, even if he did feel that he was bullied, he made the smart career move (by downplaying it) and as a result, he's still on the same team today.
