Yeah, they call it the Navarro Bowman rule. Seahawks had the ball, 3rd and goal at about the 10 yard line. Wilson threw the ball to Jermaine Kearse, who almost got into the end zone, but Navarro Bowman stood him up and stripped the ball away from him. As Bowman took possession of the ball, the 49ers pro bowl rookie FS, Eric Reid, slammed into Kearse, driving him back into Bowman. The impact bent Bowman's knee back in a sickening direction, and he went to the ground, still holding the football. The officials wrongly said Seattle had possession, and the ruling wasn't subject to review.
The new rule change makes that play reviewable now.
