You can say what you want but the point is the same.  It doesn't really matter EXACTLY what percentage of guys drafted in late rounds make the roster.  Hoodie is right on, the POINT is that NFL fans who don't watch much college football (me) likely don't care about those rounds any further than what position their favorite team went after.

I sat and watched the first round.  I casually watched the 2nd and third rounds.  I didn't even care that the draft was going on on Saturday.

Just for the hell of it, I looked it up...

According to this article:

http://www.milehighreport.com/2014/5/13/5713996/how-long-does-the-average-draft-pick-stick-around

75.8% of picks in rounds 4-7 make the 53-man roster their rookie season.
the number drops to 39.7% after their 2nd season.

Congrats Mike, you're right.  Who cares?  Its still not the point I was making.  Good job debunking an ancillary statement based on 0 seconds of research.

You made a false point to try and back up your stance. The point you made was laughable it was so incorrect.  Thanks admitting you were wrong. We can all move on now! No need to beat a dead horse

Again, wrong -
The POINT I made was "I don't care about late round draft picks"
That hasn't changed, regardless of numbers.

Seattle's super bowl championship roster had 21 un-drafted players on it. Almost 50% of their team were un-drafted players! Simply amazing on all levels.
That is pretty impressive. So did they pick up Ireland just to even things out?

Your made 2 points in your post, might want to re-read what you wrote.

I don't care for the 4-day format.  I really only watch the first round anyway. (point 1 you only care about Rd 1)  The weekend portion of the draft is completely useless to me.  I don't know a single player drafted in rounds 4-7, and most of them won't be on the final 53 anyway.(point 2 that most of the guys picked in rounds 4-7 won't make the final 53)
Now, you are entitled not to care about rounds 4-7. But I was pointing out you are dead 100% wrong on guys picked rounds 4-7 not making the final 53. Nobody gives a flying bleep if you care or don't care about rounds 4-7, but when you say those players don't make the final 53 you are 100% wrong (which you have now admitted!)

Can we just squash this now and move on?

Apparently they realized the magnitude of their mistake and cut him loose

2015 Draft will be in either LA or Chicago. Those are the 2 finalists according to Roger Goodell
