Same story, different week.

Everyone does realize that the rest of the league and other fans look upon us as a joke, right?  I mean, how else can you summarize the last 2 weeks of play in the NFL?

This week, we spot KC Chiefs, 0-2 I might add, 14 points before we decide to use the no huddle offense and move the ball quickly down the field for a FG before the half.  I'm actually surprised we didn't just run the ball and use up the clock.

Some opportune plays by the DEF, I know I can't believe it myself, get us back into the game with some TOs and a Safety to cut the lead to 21-15 heading into the 4th Qtr and a chance to win it.

The running game with Lamar Miller was coming alive, but RT took too many sacks and couldn't throw the ball to the right people.  Tannehill looks like a 3rd year rookie out there (if that's even possible).

For those who said we would be 3-1 heading into the BYE week, I got some news for you. If the OAK team that gave NE all they could handle, shows up next week in London, MIA is in for another beatdown and a 1-3 mark at the break.  How about them apples?

Tannehill is not the answer and it's apparent by his lackluster QB rating of somewhere hovering around the low C grade, 75.0.....but.....but....ProFo otballFocus.com has RT graded out out as the 3rd QB in the league!  Fock that noise.  The folks over their must have the same IQ as RT's passer rating, in other words, partially retarded.

Look, he needs to go.  He's been here a full 2 years and working towards a quarter of this season.  He's easily distracted, he STARES down WRs in the pocket, he's indecisive.....the list goes on.  Either Lazor's system is too much for him or he's not the answer.  I bet you could put Matt Moore in today and they improve easily 65-75% at that position.  Matt's been  in this league for some time.  It's move the ball quickly, get the ball out your hands to the right guys. RT doesn't do that.

All I know is, we're headed for ANOTHER 6-10 or 7-9 season. middle pack of the draft and getting nowhere.  I don't even know if there's a go to guy in next year's draft except Mariota from ORE.  Which, upon typing that, might be the right fit for this offense!

Remember that 33-20 win over NE?!?!?  Seems like a lifetime ago, doesn't it?  You're only as good as your last win and right now, the Dolphins suck.

Judging by what you posted here, I assume you did not actually watch the game and are looking at a stat sheet.

I do feel Tanny has regressed a bit this season, but that's probably because he is shell shocked from the beatings he is taken from not having an O-Line. No one in the NFL has been sacked more in the last two years and it's not even close. I think he is already seeing ghosts.

That doesn't excuse everything, but it does a lot. Unfortunately, I don't think this will ever change.

Yep, didn't even watch the game.  Just looked up the boxscore on ESPN.

You serious?  You don't see him staring down the primary WR and STILL trying to make the throw when he is completely covered?  He nearly had a pick six on one and missed on many attempts.  If you want to ride this horse till he's dead, be my guest.  He cannot run this offense.

I agree, unless Tannehill throws 500 yards and 5 tds next week and is  consistent with that for the rest of the season he has to go, and we might as well lose the rest and pray that the team doesn't get sold and moved, because we need a franchise quarterback and a real coach.

Team can't move for the next 30 years. Part of the "new" Stadium deal

His decision making and ball placement was the best it has been all season against the Chiefs. His wide receivers dropping 4 passes that were perfectly placed and the right side of the offensive line looking like a turnstyle, not to mention his offensive coordinator calling on 19 running plays when we were averaging OVER SEVEN YARDS PER CARRY were the problem against the Chiefs.

Not Tannehill.

The problem is Bill Lazor.  His system isn't working here and he abandons the run too early.  No excuse for throwing two passes on second and 1 near midfield early in the fourth quarter.  This team was down by six friggin points!!!  If they get that first down, the game may have turned out much differently.

And yet somehow, the Dolphins are (probably) still the best NFL team in Florida.   Grin

Agreed, Lazor has been a disappointment thus far. 40 called runs to 101 called passes the past two games. That ratio hasn't worked for two weeks but when it went the other way, we crushed the Patriots.

Its bad enough that we abandoned the run when we were close to 4ypc against the Bills. It is inexcusable that we abandoned the run in a close game when we were averaging 7 ypc.

We've gone against two teams the past two weeks that do one thing well on defense. RUSH THE PASSER.

And we seemed hellbent on giving them opportunities to do so.

I completely agree with this post.  I don't have a problem taking a deep shot on 2nd and 1, but 3rd down should have been a running play.

However, I will add to it that on that 3rd and 1, Ryan Tannehill's pocket collapsed and there was no one in front of him.  He could easily have taken off running for 5-6 yards, instead he held the ball and ate it.  This is the intangible that I know he can do, but somehow he doesn't.

I think Tannehill is trying to hang tough in the pocket and give his receivers a chance to get open. But while Dallas Thomas is the right guard, he needs to go thru 2-3 progressions and then cut his losses and run.

^^ Yes!  But how does that not register on 3rd and 1?  He should be able to see that on the field, no?

I think 2nd and 1 is the play he should have run it on... he was scrambling and got right to the LOS and then went deep to Mike Wallace, who was not an eligible receiver because he went out of bounds.
