THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: November 09, 2014, 05:04:43 pm »

I'm putting this one on the offense.  They were awful today.

Me as well for watching the game at the bar.  They have never won when I have done that, dating back to 2009.

It's a tie....

O-line (couldn't block anyone) and Philbin for again calling timeouts late in the game on defense when the clock is running!

If you WANT to be an elite defense make a stop when it matters. Vs GB and Detroit the offense gave the defense a lead in the final minutes and the defense choked it away. Money drives...defense comes up short

Daniel Thomas - 5 carries for 14 yards and a fumble.

I can't specifically blame Philbin, because in a vacuum, this one game isn't a big deal and we just got beat -- but it just sucks to root for a team that has the ball and the lead with 5 minutes left and you know you're going to lose.

Thomas and Philbin. Daniel Thomas for perhaps being the worst RB in the NFL and Philbin for just being a terrible head coach. Once again, he was gone from all prep during the San Diego game and we won 37-0. That's not a coincidence.

Remember, for consideration for the Goat Trailer, you must choose just one person.

What if Philbin and Thomas form some type of Voltron of Shame?

If this is not allowed, Philbin.

Thomas. I have no faith in him carrying the ball.

I wanted to give it to Damien Williams for one reason only:

2-5-MIA 22
(3:41) (Shotgun) 34-D.Williams right tackle to MIA 22 for no gain (94-E.Ansah).

This play cost the Dolphins the game, IMO.

Daniel Thomas sucked too, though, and is a valid selection.

More of an offensive line issue than a RB issue. The blocking was terrible

I'm sure it was but since I can't go back and watch just that one play to assign it to an o-lineman, I give it to Williams.  I don't care if you dive forward for 2 yards, but get SOMETHING.

easier said than done. Need some blocking or else your diving in the backfield

I just so badly wanted to see them play.

Here's my history.

November 2009 against the Bills
December 2010 against the Texans
November 2010 against the Bears
November 2013 against the Panthers
December 2013 against the Jets (second half)

What's the deal?

« Reply #13 on: November 11, 2014, 12:00:03 pm »

I give it to Bill Lazor because the entire offense played like shit.  Jordan returns a blocked FG to the 3 yard line and they can't punch it in.  That summed up the entire performances

I'm not sure what game you were watching but it took Miami exactly one play to score a touchdown at that moment in the game.
