Soliciting sex from a prostitute who happened to be undercover.

I guess the mouth that roared had something else roaring as well

That's what happened to Eugene Robinson before the Super Bowl, too.

This is why you stick to escort services, rather than going for the walmart-variety streetwalker.

Couldn't you get busted that way, too?  Couldn't a cop post an ad as an escort service?

The reason Sapp got busted for soliciting prostitution (and assault) is because he got into a money argument with the hookers and allegedly assasulted them.

Know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em, Warren.  When you're a celebrity in that situation, even if they did try to jack up the prices on you, you basically have to pay them off.

Wouldn't he have been arrested anyway?  Once you agree to the deal, you have already broken the law, if you haven't already done it earlier.

Sounds like he just made his situation worse.

I'm surprised he needed to do something like this.  Most celebrities don't.

I'm guessing he wasn't getting them for himself.  He was probably recruiting talent for a party he's having or something.  Gotta supply chips, beers, and hookers.

Assault is not a morality crime.

You don't understand.

If he had paid them off, the police never would have been called.  This was not a sting.

It seems like the "assault" stemmed from him throwing them out of his room, probably because they wouldn't leave.  The moral of the story, as Stroke alluded to, is hire a better class of service provider; not one that will go downstairs to the off duty cop and complain that you didn't get paid for hooking.  BTW, the girls were also charged with crimes, a couple brilliant beauties, can't wait for the mug shots to cum out.

In Vegas, he would have still been charged with assault.

According to the women, they were indeed "escorts" who met Sapp in the hotel.

However, they were cited for a violation of the city's escort permit requirements, so they apparently weren't professional "escorts."
