Only now are fans beginning to see the damage he did to this team.   His drafts seem to be no better than his predecessors.

That Jordan pick at #3 looks worse by the day. We usually don't miss on first rounders, let alone that bad. Gonna have to nail this draft AND have Billy Turner turn into a serviceable RG this season in order to make up for Ireland's shit.

Which is why I didn't like signing Suh to such a huge contract. '

Also, I thought these moves were designed to free cap space, not create dead money.

They sacrificed the dead money to free up the cap space. This wouldn't be necessary if we didn't strike out in free agency under Ireland.

Why are you a fan of this team again? You never seen to appreciate anything this team does, even if it is successful.

Dead money is money you are spending on players no longer with the team (i.e. that you have chosen to get rid of).  We weren't leading the league in dead money last year.

I don't want Tannenbaum, but I can't blame the guy for dumping the crap he inherited.

As far as 1st rounders go:

2008 - Jake Long
2009 - Vontae Davis
2010 - Jared Odrick
2011 - Mike Pouncey
2012 - Ryan Tannehill
2013 - Dion Jordan
2014 - Juwaun James

Aside from Jordon who really has had a mixture of his own stupidity and our coaches, can't complain about this list. Before this was pretty bad, but for the past 7 years I'd say we have drafted pretty damn well in the first.

Way to take something out of context. Long was a bust FOR THE RAMS. Miami got an elite player (all pro + numerous pro bowls) for 5 years and got rid of him at the perfect time. He was (and is) one of my favorite players, but it's a brutal game. Considering what the Rams paid, he was clearly a bust for them.

Jake got paid, good for him, and he never gave up trying. He's just not elite anymore and cannot stay healthy.

Yes I wouldn't say Long was a bust for us. Worst thing for us is the fact he couldn't stay healthy enough for us to re-sign him.

When you take a player no 1 overall and you don't resign him because he never finishes the season, that's a bust.
