- how you found this site - Someone told me on another forum that I had a guy imitating me on here.
- what you do for a living - I am an account executive for a fortune 500 company. I'm also working on my real estate license.
- interests - Fishing is my biggest interest.
- what you're all about - I'm all about the truth. Nowadays, politically and as a society, we're put into two teams who don't listen to each other and all they want to do is destroy each other. The days of civil discourse are dead. No one can disagree with someone else without ridiculing the other person rather than discussing their ideas. It is this way in politics and in main street. And that's exactly what the politicians and the media want to create and we're the lemmings that have fallen for it. We're all basically walking around reciting talking points from party memos at each other.

- how you found this site - I saw the mention of it on Finheaven.com and decided to check it out.

- what you do for a living - I own and run an HVAC installation and repair business and have enjoyed 16 years of success since being at the helm.   My uncle founded it in 1961 and I began working for him in 1988 after attending trade school to get my certification.  He retired in 1999 and passed the torch to me.

- interests - I enjoy fishing and gambling, particularly poker and bingo at the Miccosukkee Casino on Tamiami Trail and Krome Ave

- what you're all about - I'm all about a quiet peaceful life with a little fun mixed in.  Yes, I'm your average Joe and I'm happy to be just that.

Awesome thread.  Good to learn a little bit about the folks who post here.

I'm a 51 year old with no kids, but married to the most wonderful woman in the world. Don't tell our dogs that they are not actually human children as this would be a shock to them. I am employed by Uncle Sam in the national security bidness (not as exciting as tv shows make it look), doing a job that is both maddening and supremely rewarding at times.

I grew up in South Florida (hence my lifelong love of the Fins), but my career has me currently residing in Dallas.  I got my undergrad degree at FIU and my Master's at FAU and still have a lot of family and friends in South Florida so I still have strong ties there.

Hey Pappy, I didn't know you were in the DFW area too, we'll have to meet up at a sports bar during football season to watch a Dolphins game!

Great idea Dave. It has been a while and we have so many newer members and have older ones who have had changes.

I think I found this site because a friend told me about it. It seems so long ago that I'm not sure. I've been a Dolphins fan since my youth although they were not the stand alone favorite until I got out of the practice of following favorite players and decoded to start following a favorite team solely (I blame my football card obsession of my youth for that). I'm a huge sports junkie and my other favorite teams are WVU, New York Islanders, LA Lakers, and of course Orlando City Lions. I also enjoy a wide range of music and going to shows is always a blast but now that I'm getting older I tend to travel shorter distances for music. I am also a pool player and spend three nights a week playing competitively usually. The less exciting part of my life is work. I work for a marketing/PR company and work exclusively as a contractor for a technology firm.

I found this site back in '04 whilst looking for a UK based fan site to share my rediscovered love of football but fortunately stumbled across this instead, I sit somewhere between lurker and occassional poster generally trying to be the voice of reason. I think my most significant contribution has been to Sunstroke's Terry Farrell mental imagery (that sounds really dodgy but isn't)  Roll Eyes and my never published work on why the 2008 seaqson 11-5 record was wildly misleading.

As you can tell from the name I'm based in the UK, and I'm a Chartered Engineer.

Interests are sports, pretty much anything. I play tennis, I watch football (soccer), tennis, football, motorsports. I like gaming, music (punk rock mostly, but I like what I like and don't rule out any particular genre). In an amusing twist I'll be out in Florida later in the year and the weekend I return will be watching the Dolphins play at Wembley.

If you have a chance to catch a game at SunLife, you will have to let us know.

- how you found this site
I found this site with another member (JVides) while looking up some info on Yatil Green.

- what you do for a living
I'm in sales.

- interests
Sports (NFL NHL NBA MLB), video games and movies

- what you're all about
I'm 40, recently married, and bought my first house a few months ago. Born in Puerto Rico, but grew up in Colorado. Been in S. FL for the last 20 years. Became a huge Dolphins fan in '86 through my dad. And as the years passed and Miami got expansion teams, I became fans of those teams because I felt it was important to stick with one city. (respect to people who do the same)

I like to unwind when life let's me (which isn't all that much nowadays) by playing single player campaigns in video games. They're my books. (Some great stories out there) Every once in a while some multiplayer with friends. I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I do own the consoles for the titles that aren't released on PC.

Afraid not this time. Looked at it but it just made it too expensive and difficult to do the bits we wanted to do within the time we had. Will do the trip to Miami separately and will give you a shout when we do.
