ESPN reporting the Fins had a trade almost done with Philly for him too that would have taken place this week.  Unreal

Do you still have to pay the guy?  Can you just cut him?

I believe they can cut him at a reduced risk. Cutting him or trading him would have eaten up over $1 million of our cap.

At this point, whether the risk is reduced or not, we should cut him. He counts over $6 million against the 2016 cap. I think that money would be better spent on Ryan Tannehill or Olivier Vernon.

Dion Jordan failed a 3rd Drug Test. SUSPENDED for the entire season

Just great!

Just to be clear, he did not fail a drug test. One of the drug test samples came up as dilluted. It could mean he drank a lot of water before taking the test or it could mean he tampered with the sample.

That being said, a dilluted test counts as a strike in the NFL drug policy. But the NFL drug policy is more stringent than military drug testing.

It was a diluted test and he is not appealing the suspension. His piss was dirty.

He failed the test. Why or how he failed it doesn't matter. He failed the test and is suspended for a year

Found this moments ago. Unsure how accurate it is but seems right.

Dion Jordan's $3,068,925 signing bonus proration still counts on Miami's 2015 salary cap.

Update: But then found this....So Dolphins might just cut Dion Jordan after June 1st and take the loss: they'd be responsible for $3 million on cap but free up $2.3 mil

What a waste of talent.  The guy got his millions and then partied it away.   Another JaMarcus Russell type story.  Cut this piece of garbage.

I have a hard time comparing him to JaMarcus, because Dion Jordan actually wasn't a complete braindead moron. Dion made bad lifestyle choices, while JaMarcus simply didn't have enough IQ points to fill a shot glass.

That said...he still needs to be cut loose, and a little bit of regret that Miami couldn't move him before he imploded.

I'd rather they cut him before June 1st and clear up $6+ million in 2016.

Dion Jordan will go down as one of the worst picks this organization ever made.   ...couldn't stop doing drugs, and when he was, he couldn't get in the game.

We blamed the coaches for a while for not using him, but it's pretty clear the guy wasn't getting it done.
