Fins are moving quick locking guys up. They ignored LB in the draft but the Fins just signed 3 linebackers including the Big 10 Linebacker of the year last year as undrafted free agents. They also signed a punter.

Update: Make that 4 LB's and 2 WR's, 1 Punter, 1 DE

I love two of the LB signings, Mike Hull (that B10 LB of the year) and Jeff Luc from Cincinnati. I fully expected both of those guys to get selected in the 6th-7th rounds on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Hull ended up not only making the roster, but working his way into the LB rotation.

SF signed one of my favorite sleeper LBs as well, OLB Marcus Rush from Michigan State. We also signed a WR who is the son of former Rams WR, Flipper Anderson.

Holy crap...I just saw that they signed UCLA DT Ellis McCarthy. I thought for sure he got drafted.

That's three quality UDFA's on the defensive side of the ball for Miami.

Sunstroke, thanks for the background on the FAs.  I have to admit that I didn't know much about them but from what you are saying, the Fins may have picked up a couple guys who may actually have a shot to compete.

MIA signed Bama WR Christion Jones.  While not competing for WR IMO, I think this is a solid signing for MIA if they are planning to use him to PR and KO's.

I watched alot of Bama games and this kid has got some flat out speed.  He's only 5'-11" and 185 lbs, but he can move.  His best PR season in the SEC was 2013 with yardage and 2 TDs.  His PR dropped slightly in 2014, but he was used more for KOs and lead the SEC and no. of returns and yardage.

Hope he can get on with the team doing this and allow Landry to just play WR and not risk injury with him back there returning PR's and KO's.

The corner we drafted also has some experience returning kicks. I doubt this kid makes the team, we are logjammed at WR. Maybe he makes the PS.

True. But better to have too much competition for roster spots than not enough.  And injuries can make depth at a position become a shortage at a position REAL fast.

I saw some very talented and productive guys not get drafted.  Jeff Luc was a menacing LB.  How he didn't get drafted is beyond me.

Potential trumps production every time.   The TEs from Miami and Florida State in this draft are perfect examples.  O'Leary had much better stats and accolades in college but Walford has about five inches and 25 pounds on O'Leary.   That's why Walford went in the second round and O'Leary didn't go until the sixth
