Rishard Matthews told the team he wants to be traded or released. He won't go to any voluntary workouts this offseason from this point forward

I always get a kick out of it when guys who are at the bottom of the roster try to play hard ball.

We should be able to get an 8th round pick for him.

Well it isn't likely he would make the final team roster, so you can't blame him for wanting to catch on with another team.

yes he would, he would be the #5 WR and he is a beast on special teams. He is right he won't play much at WR this year with the new additions. He actually holds some trade value because he has a cheap contract and has ability. Fins will probably hold him through camp and look to trade him in August to a WR needy team

With Additions Of Tony Lippett and Parker, ehh let him go.  Lippett can take his spot easily

Lippett is working out at CB. Matt Hazel would take Rishard's place.

Gonna be tough to replace those 135 yards from last year.

He just took himself off the final roster.  Philbin doesn't try to fix malcontents

Matthews was was benched 2 of the last 3 games last year and Miami keeps bringing him back. He is a special teams beast and he has a dirt cheap contract. They ain't gonna cut him. They will try to trade him or keep him as the #5 WR. And he will be there through camp incase someone goes down. He's a good player on a cheap contract....you don't toss those guys to the curb

Exactly, no reason to cut him. He's making nothing and is a healthy body, he will stay on until the end.
