Because it was only one yard. There should be no reason why you can't get a 1st down there. Plus, it shows Philbin trusts the offense to make it happen. Unfortunately, the players and probably the play caller let him down.

Anyway, either they have to hold them to a field goal or give up a touchdown and get a field goal before the half to have a chance.

Sad to say my gut predicted this as soon as they signed Suh.  Signing big name free agents usually does not work out for you
