The win was not convincing enough, we played poorly against a terrible team. Also, is there anyone left who thinks Philbin SHOULDN'T have been fired? This game had nothing to do with it.

My 8-8 prediction still stands, although it may just have been lowered to 7-9 with this horseshit performance.
If you predicted MIA to be 8-8, why would you also expect them to beat WSH 31-9?  How many 8-8 teams are good enough to win road games by 3 touchdowns?

Because Miami likes to raise your hopes before crushing them midseason and I REALLY feel that the Skins are a 3 win team. So, even we should've stomped them.

Agree, year after year its the same thing.  Hopes gets raised only to see the same mediocre product on the filed. Sure its only game 1 and thing can improve or get worse. What makes this year different? Yippe Fin Football is back ...phhhh same oL Fins  Undecided  I apologize for being negative

People have expectations way out of wack. In the NFL blowouts are very rare. Especially blowing out a team on the road.  And a middle of the road team like Miami isn't going to march in many stadiums of opponents and blow teams out.

Not to mention everyone bought into the preseason hype.  There is no gameplanning in any preseason games, teams don't double. Teams don't cut block or scheme to avoid pressure.

Today Suh was held in check because the opponent gameplanned for him and took him out of the game. The Fins o-line was stunted and gameplanned for and Dallas Thomas went back to sucking and Jamil Douglas was on his ass most of the day.

Story of this game was the Fins defense in the 1st half was beyond awful. Turned it around in the 2nd half. And the Fins o-line is a dumpster fire and they are awful. That was the story of this game.

There are so many ridiculous comments in this thread that I thought for sure that everyone was just kidding.  And then I realized that most, if not all of the comments were "real" and I was all  Huh
