Maybe Brees had good reason to want him gone. Not saying he's a bust just yet, but he's been extremely disappointing so far. He's getting totally outplayed by Mathews.

Stills has 3 receptions for 20 yards through 2 games.

The idea that he could replace Wallace has basically collapsed.  The receiving corps was extremely promising entering the season, but so far it has not been impressive at all.  Jennings has also been a disappointment.

I can't declare any of the new additions bad decisions yet.  However, I'd bet Tannehill would have a better chance of completing passes to the new guys if he had more than 3 seconds to throw a pass.

This is getting silly. Still a good trade cause they got a young WR on a rookie contract who makes almost no money.

Considering the way this franchise drafts Stills is better than anyone they would have taken in Rd 3. The WR corps is fine and not an issue through 2 games.

Seems pretty Wallace like during his time here.  Cry

You'll forgive me if I'm not overjoyed at all the money Stephen Ross is saving.  Tongue

More to do with cap space savings and how they can manage the cap than saving Stephen Ross a couple bucks in his bank account

Is this the "look at all the cap space they saved by not signing Evan Mathis" argument?

The salary cap exists to be used.  What quality move did Miami make with the cap space that they freed up by trading Wallace?  Keep in mind that Suh was signed before Wallace was traded.

IF you believe that Stills and Wallace are the same player essentially then why not take the younger one who plays for far less than Wallace. Plus Wallace clearly didn't get along with the staff and teammates after he quit on them and had to be moved. The Dolphins are deep at WR, and Stills is fine. Not like he is out there running bad routs and dropping balls. Stills isn't the problem

The Evan Mathis situation is different. It was a piss poor GM and head coach thinking they didn't need him and what they had  at guard was good enough.

I don't.

Through the first two games of last year, Wallace had 12 receptions for 137 yards and 2 TDs.  Now, you can argue about Stills' numbers through the first two games of last year, or Wallace's numbers through the first two games of this year, but Tannehill is no Brees and Bridgewater is no Tannehill.

Until Still QUITS on his team and walks off the field in the middle of a game this argument is silly. Wallace had to go for many reasons

Wallace was considered a number 1 here so he got the bulk of the targets. Stills is not a number 1 so I am failing to see why we have such an issue with him today. The receivers are the least of this teams problems.

In that case, I hope you are preparing for the inevitable trade of Suh for pennies on the dollar, after he ignored Coyle's playcalling.

Unlike the stories of Wallace ... according to coach he did not.
