I think if this is your criteria, Elway is probably the best QB ever.
I have no argument against Elway as the best QB ever. He's certainly right there with Young.

I rank Marino ahead of Montana.

Who would rank Russell Wilson ahead of Marino?

How about Eli Manning?  Is he in the conversation?

This is a good topic.  I'm sure there were some great QBs before my time.  But I'm going to go with QBs that I've seen since I started seriously watching football.  Watched it as a little kid in the 70s, but by the time I was in high school, I was able to watch it and fully understand it enough to formulate meaningful opinions.  So going with a time period of early 1980's til now, I would probably have to cast my vote for Brady.  And that pains me to say, because I hate the Patriots.  But personal feelings aside, the guy has been so good for so long and doesn't seemed to have slipped one bit.

I am always amazed at how little respect Aaron Rodgers gets in these discussions,  and that's coming from a Patriots fan, not Packers.

I think Aaron Rodgers will probably end up in the Steve Young tier.

He's not a compiler and I think it's highly unlikely he's going to run off 3 or 4 more titles.  He'll wind up with something like the all-time highest passer rating, and that's about it.

also all time best td int ratio, and lowest int percentage.   Measures I value above volume yards. Also he plays in a northern outdoor stadium.

Lol if you want to go by rate stats isn't Craig Nall the best quarterback in Packer history?

Ten years from now, Jameis Winston will be in this conversation.

Have you seen what he's doing in Tampa?   He's got this team on the cusp of a wild card berth.  They get ten wins (and realistically , the only sure loss is against Carolina) they're in for sure

Mark Sanchez took his team to the AFCCG his rookie year, and he isn't in the discussion.   He is having a good year but your claim is almost as premature as a Broncos fan making the same claim about BO.

Get out with that nonsense. Winston isn't even the best QB in his division. Or the second best. Or even the third best. He's a good player, no doubt. But let's pump the breaks on HOF talk until he's at least one of the better QBs in his own division.
