Bad game by both of them in my humble opinion. They were fortunate to be in the game at the end and perhaps a couple of FG attempts instead of going for it on 4th down would have won the game for New England. Yes, that's their nature, but this time it didn't work for them. Belicheck gets a lot of credit for being aggressive when it works, he needs to take the hit when it doesn't. And what's up with taking the ball on the coin flip?

One thing about them is they go down FIGHTING.

But this game and the Super Bowl last year showed how Brady benefits from having a clutch D, something Tannehill does not have.

In the Super Bowl. when the score was 24-14, the defense went 4 and out, 3 and out, and 3 and out, giving Brady the chance to come back.

In this playoff game, the defense twice forced three and outs following turnovers on downs, allowing the Patriots to drive for the tie.

It's not just a clutch D, it's an all around good D. They did a terrific job stopping the run and really not allowing Denver to have a balanced attack. Their offense gets all the credit, but their defense is very good too.

I do want to see the Gronk play again.  It looked like incidental contact, but is it? Was that a penalty?

Please see my other thread.  I hope somebody can post a convincing case that it was not pass interference.

It wasn't called on the play therefore it wasn't pass interference.

It's hard to say that they "don't have the magic" when they are still the reigning Super Bowl champions.

I don't buy this reasoning when the only game left is the one that replaces them as reigning champions. That said, I'm not writing these guys off until Brady retires.

At this point I wouldn't. I don't think Brady has two more years and I'm guess BB goes then or soon after.

I just don't get what makes them so successful.

It's so baffling.

I bet Brady is in a Patriots uniform later than Tannehill will be in a Dolphins uniform and I bet Belicheat is on the NE sideline later than Gase is on Mia.

Dolphins fans really are clueless.

I guess I am just wrestling with the fact about how much better Brady is than everybody in the league, which is hard for me to accept.

Two weeks from now, they will be one year removed from being the best football team in the world, and 2 weeks removed from their 5th straight AFCCG.

You might want to wait for a bit more evidence before you declare them finished.

I was only referring to this one game.

Tom Brady has a 20-4 record in the playoffs against QBS not named Manning.  But he's 2-6 in the playoffs against the Manning brothers
