Obviously not having a QB really hurt the Cowboys last year and these two home town heroes are available. Do you take either of these or do you draft a QB? They have a great option to draft one early but the Cowboys have a pretty decent team and I'm not so sure you waste that on a QB right now. What are your thoughts?

I think RG3 has a higher ceiling, so I'd go with him.

I don't even think this is an argument to be had. Neither of these guys would be on my radar. If you turn to either of these guys as an answer to your QB problem then you have worse problems than not having a QB.

I'm with Phish on this one...neither would interest me very much, even as a back-up.

You are 100% correct about them not being the answer...more like low risk high reward if they pan out.

^^^ I don't even consider them that (maybe I can leave RG 3 out of this though) but Manziel has no low risk involved at all. This guy is as high a risk player as there is right now.

Very true about Manziel.  I was referring more to RG3.

As a backup I would only consider RGIII. Manziel has not proved to anyone that he is mature enough to follow the code of conduct required of him. He continues to do stupid shit that could burn a team that would be forced to turn to him because of injury!

Washington destroyed any chance he had of being great but I do think RGIII will do somebody good again.

RGIII spent most of this past season playing the safety position on the Redskins' scout team. I think a fork has been stuck in him...and he is done.

I think RGIII could still have a decent NFL career, BUT he needs a low pressure situation as a backup on a team, with a great QB coach that would work with him.  If he could go to someplace like NE or Pittsburgh for a year or two he could have a good comeback.

As for Manziel, I would recommend him switching to baseball.  There's always an MLB team that would pick him up for an attendance spike.

Tony Romo is an excellent QB when not being rushed back from injury by Jerry Jones because he forgot to get a backup.

Cowboys are going to be excellent next season and run away with the division because they are a 1st placed team that has a very high draft pick. I guess I would go with RG3 as the backup only because he has more to prove and is less likely to be arrested for drinking or hitting his girlfriend.

Dallas is in an extremely enviable position for this year's draft. As Edge said, they are a "1st place talent" team who not only happens to have the #4 overall pick, but they are likely going to end up with 4 compensatory picks as well. Dallas could spend that #4 overall pick on Romo's eventual successor, whether that is Goff, Wentz or Lynch, and then still have plenty of picks remaining to fill little positions they need to compete this season.

Me: I'd go with with the draft pick, and find a future Romo replacement,as I feel it would be the smartest move.

Does Dez Bryant still have baby sitters/personal security?

Signing Manziel,I'd have a hard time having 2 players on my team with a full team of handlers around them because they can't seem to make good decisions, stay out of trouble.
My apologizes to the babysitting/personal security labor force in the Arlington Texas area for that answer.

Jerry Jones: He'd probably try to get both Manziel, and Rg3 Roll Eyes
