What's the best movie about vampires and why is it Twilight?

Are you a 13 year old girl? Twilight doesn't even make a list of movies I want to see, much less the best Vampire movie of all time.

My choice, Interview with the Vampire

I was being facetious, which I thought was obvious by the phrasing of the question.

The correct answer is "Let Me In".

I really liked Salem's Lot as a kid. Interview with a Vampire is arguably one of the best but I also liked silly ones like the original Fright Night.

Can we include the latest American Horror Story (Hotel) to the list? Not a Lady Gaga fan per se but she did a fantastic job as head vampiress.

Let Me In would be way up near the top of the list, as would be Dracula Untold. I like the first Underworld movie quite a bit as well.

Actually, I might want to change my answer.  I really, really loved a comedy recently called "What We Do in the Shadows".  Hilarious.

I love me some campy movies from the 80's,it was my child hood...I feel like almost all of those were better than Twilight,Even though I wasn't a fan...Interview with a Vampire was more interesting to me...

My campy 80's favorites...
+ My best friend is a Vampire
+ Fright night
+ Monster Squad
+ the Lost boys

From dusk till Dawn,Bram stokers Dracula from the 90's,Blade,Buffy the Vampire slayer...I even liked Cirque de freak: the Vampire assistant.

I forgot about cirque de freak...I was trying to remember the name of it,I remembered Salma Hayek as the bearded lady, but couldn't remember the name

Blade is the correct answer.  We would also accept From Dusk til Dawn or Interview with a Vampire.

Darkhorse nominee:  30 Days of Night

^^^ Man, another one that I missed that I really like. I'm going to stop doing "off the cuff" answers for topics like this one, as this type obviously needs a little contemplation time.

A few of my favorites have already been mentioned:  Interview with the Vampire and 30 Days of Night.  I'm very curious about What We Do in the Shadows.  It looks fun.

I'd like to add the Kathryn Bigelow classic, Near Dark starring Lance Henrickson & Bill Paxton.

My wife and I tried to watch the first Twilight movie a few years back.  We had to take a break about 20 minutes in because we both realized we were both way too sober to finish this dog of a film.  After much drinking ensued, it was realized there's not enough alcohol in the world to make that movie watchable.

I saw the first Twilight on cable.  I didn't think it was terrible, but was just sorta OK.  I didn't have the drive to see any more of them, since.

I also love From Dusk Till Dawn, but I don't vote it best because I think the best parts of the film are the non-vampire parts.
