Can I just say 4th Quarter Ryan Tannehill? It would be wrong to include the QB who played the first 3 quarters.

Tannehill, but I have to say Parker came really close to getting it. He also almost made a bonehead play at the end of the game when he didn't make that interception and could have knocked it into the air.

Tannehill.

That sort of play is the opposite of garbage time stats-padding.

He took the team from being a mere 4% likely to win, to being 98% likely to win (prior to the Rams' final drive).

That's what teams need from QBs in this league if they're going to be highly competitive, and that's what the Dolphins' got today.

His overall game was better last week, but he put the team on his shoulders in the clutch and won a game this week.

I don't think anyone deserves it more than Tannehill.

Parker is going to get a talking to for that final play.  He did knock that ball into the air (which is incredibly bizarre FOR A WIDE RECEIVER) and he's lucky a Ram wasn't near him.  Imagine if that was MIA's hail mary, Parker somehow got that open, and he booted the ball like that.

And notice that after the line came together like that and pushed Landry into the end zone, they seemed to play better.  I think that had a galvanizing effect.

Over the last two drives of the game, Tannehill was 12 for 13 for 122 yards and 2 TDs.

YPA was 9.4.  QB rating was 145.3.

What an amazing team effort there at the end. Really hard to single anyone out, though of course the quarterback is easy to single out. I can't help but think that if Parker had dropped one of those passes, Tannehill would have been the goat and everyone would have been screaming that he sucks. And, let's face it, those receptions by Parker were NOT easy, particularly the low one that he just grabbed half an inch off the turf.

The scrum into the endzone play, can I just give it to the offensive line for that one play? Or Tannehill and Parker for the fourth quarter?

If I have to chose, I'm going to say Parker, but really it's a toss-up.

Tannehill had a couple of bad throws earlier, but the interception wasn't one them. It was a risky throw, but for an offensive that was stalled, I loved the call. Too bad Parker lost it in the air and stopped two yards short and let the defender get it. Wouldn't necessarily have been an easy catch, but Parker had position on the safety and could have easily taken his route longer. Either he was slow locating the ball or he just misread it. The bad Tannehill passes were the two or three that SHOULD have been intercepted.

Given that drops by receivers are not rare occurrences in the league, if your game is riding on one that does occur, then whoever was responsible for putting the team in that position certainly deserves a helping of blame (in addition to the receiver) if the game ends in a loss.

Again, we have this distinction between nail-biter wins and convincing wins, and the Dolphins have yet to have one of the latter, other than perhaps the Pittsburgh game.  Some parts of the team (and it can be different parts each week) must be responsible for the fact that these wins are nail-biters and not convincing.  They aren't just happening on their own.

Split between Tannehill and Parker.  Tannehill for coming alive at the end of the 4th and for Parker for making some really big catches, for 1st downs and in tight spaces.
