(I've not caught the Dolphins Ravens Game,Tree being cut down, sewer pipes being replaced,Gazebo thing being built...)

I skimmed the Miami Herald 10 questions article....https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/miami-dolphins/article216180490.html

The final preseason game against Atlanta tomorrow,on paper we look like one thing, but in reality is still in question.I realize the roster might change, with final cuts looming, and after week 1 the veteran contracts guarantee thing.

I mean we can feel great/horrible about draft picks, and people in free agency, but until they play some preseason games it's just speculations...

Has the Preseason changed your feelings, affirmed your suspicions, feel better, worse about this team...Perhaps even the same?

I think for me personally,I feel like I say this every year for the past 10 years,it seems beyond the starters,we have little depth.

I really feel the same as I did around training camp,a bunch of "ifs" and we'll be really inconsistent every week.

I hate to be a turd but I suspect we're in for a very mediocre season.  I think we will be competitive from game to game, but with no real shot at advancing in the playoffs.  Part of it is depth, but I think that part of it is also raw talent.  We are in a cycle of having to ship out our best guys, which I understand and support, but until you stabilize, you're always working with guys on the way up and never with guys who are at the top of their game.

Preseason proved to me that Tannehill is capable of being good enough to win, that the offensive line is better than in previous years, that we have a TE who can catch better than the average person, that no LBer can cover Drake out the backfield, that Robert Quinn is the real deal as it Minkah Fitz, our LBers are young and inexperienced (although i think they will get better as the season goes) and that our defense is still suspect.

I hate to say it but I think it will take a few games for things to start clicking and then will continue to get better as the season goes. Ryan has been out 1 1/2 years and we have a lot of other youth on this team. Not sure we can hide that until they hit mid-season form.

I have a little optimism going right now for Miami:

* Tannehill is healthy
* Drake looks like the real deal
* Minkah is Ed Reed part deux
* Jets and Bills still suck
* Tom Brady is overdue for a career-threatening weed-whacker accident

This is pretty much my exact feelings as well. I also think the defense is coming on and could possibly get good at some point in the year but I think there will be a learning curve. I am also very happy with the last couple of drafts. Lots of young talent on this team at several different positions. They need to continue to grow and mature, but the talent is there, it's just raw which is why I'm hoping beyond hope that Gase is the coach that we have been looking for. If he's not all that young talent will just go to waste.

It will be an up and down, frustrating season.

I feel like this will be another year of everyone at my work laughing at me for being a Dolphins fan.

The last time I remember the Dolphins meeting or exceeding my expectations was the year they made the playoffs, and the Patriots missed the playoffs (even though they had a very good record).  So...I just can't get excited this year in spite of the positives on paper.  I haven't watched any of their preseason games, and really am not interested in watching the regular season.  Perhaps if they win a few games I'll get excited.

I dunno.  Darnold strikes me as someone who has a legit chance at being a top tier QB.

Really?  Similar vowel usage aside, I see his ceiling as Andy Dalton...and NYJ has no AJ Green to make Darnold look respectable.

Oh please.  Like Brady does his own lawn... C'mon man!!! :p

I have a feeling it's going to be up and down.  I'm not encouraged by our offensive line play based on what I saw in preseason.  Now that could be that the guys we got just aren't used to playing together yet but I'm not going to believe that line is fixed until I see them in a real game.

Same thing with defensive tackle.  Sometimes if you have good linebackers you can get away with this but McMillian is going to have to be Zach Thomas 2.0 to hide that deficiency.  Even if I agree that cutting Suh was the right move,  I see a couple of mediocre guys and not a lot of depth.  Can they push the pocket back and collapse it from the middle?  If not teams are going to run all over us and we better be able to score points, something this team has not done consistently in a very long time.

After watching the Hurricanes and FSU this weekend I have no expectations for the Dolphins. I don't need a trifecta let down.  Shocked
