THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: September 16, 2018, 04:08:15 pm »

The defense was spectacular.

Also, give props to Tannehill for his passing and his running.

It is nice to start the season 2-0.

Can they keep it up.

Howard, when will he get props for being the shutdown corner he is?

HM to Gore for passing the stinking Jet Curtis Martin in all time rushing yards while playing the stinking Jets.

Tanny and the Defense.

Gase knows what Tannehill is and what he isn't. He is a game manager who can use his legs. God help us if we are ever down 21-0, but let him do what he does and we are in decent shape. Really makes you realize how bad Cutler sucked last year.

Defense gave the P-E-S-T the work

Tanny for putting the Ice on the cake.

My game ball goes to the defense, so score it as a vote for DC Matt Burke.

Huge plays by Alonso, Howard, and Reshad.

Defense played great but I have a hard time giving it to them this time when the offense closed the game out when it mattered. I think this was truly a team victory as so many stepped up when they had to on both sides.

It seems to me that the single biggest performance of the day should go to our punter Matt Haack. He kept the Jets in bad field position most of the day and that's a huge advantage.

Drake gets my game ball. He had about a quarter of the total offensive production and looked really great.

I can't believe anyone who actually watched the game would give Tannehill the game ball.

HM to Minkah Fitzpatrick for a great game and McDonald + Howard for the critical INTs. No way we would have won without those.

The defense forced four turnovers and the offense had two unforced turnovers.  (I know one was scored as a strip sack, but Tannehill simply dropped the ball after the pump fake.)

I realize that but the Offense scored three touchdowns and could have scored more at the end of the game which would have made it even easier on the defense. Both sides of the balls made plays when they needed to. It wasn't easy for our offense to close out that game nor was it any less important than the plays our defense made. Both sides also gave up big plays. I really don't see that one whole group was much better than the other.
