I just saw on my phone that William Hayes tore his ACL and is out for the year.

Even though they have good depth on the DL, that is going to be a tough one.

The good news is he was successful at not landing on the QB and getting a 15 yard penalty.  Shocked  I'm pissed as is the Dolphins. That stupid rule has claimed it's first victim and he was on a terror this year.

+1.  This really is just a stupid rule.  Looking at the Clay Mathews penalty this week it's just crazy.  How else are you supposed to tackle a QB, without risking not making the tackle when the QB could elude the Def player?

BTW there was a Tannehill play where he was running down the sideline and should have went out of bounds.  The defense was there and could have clocked him, but didn't because they probably thought he was going out of bounds (kind of an unwritten rule).  Next time Tannehill's going to knocked out, and he'll deserve it.

A.Branch is going to miss sometime with a knee injury,so we're down 2 DL..Time for C.Harris to step up... Undecided

just saw this Via Armando of the herald
Andre Branch (knee) is expected to miss 2-4 weeks, per source.

The thing that is most concerning to me is that both Branch and Harris were really more of the run support guys if I'm not mistaken. The other guys are better at getting after the QB, I don't think that will be hurt much but the run defense may suffer.

Our run defense up the middle will most definitely suffer.

On the bright side of the Branch injury, fewer penalties?  Cheesy  Embarrassed ( he had the hit on Taylor Lewan, and I think 1 or 2 others so far this season<--going from memory,I don't feel like going through game logs)   Evil

I only see Branch being called for 1 penalty, an offside in the Jets game.

Interesting take ... Just read an article stating that with the injuries Wake and Quinn will play more. They’ve been playing less than half of the time. Temp is expected to be sunny and in the 60s. Beautiful weather to play in and more snaps from your two best should actually work to our advantage.

You're right that's the only one that was enforced,he had the unnecessary roughness offset vs the Raiders(4th and 1 play),and ended up not getting a penalty on the Taylor Lewan play... Embarrassed

Woodward was called up form the Practice squad yesterday, err officially today...

The Patriots suffered a couple of injuries today, internet is fucking horrible...1mbs,when it's on..(It was out all day at work)..so really hard to do anything!

I saw that article too. My thoughts are yes that works to our advantage in the passing game, but it will hurt the run defense. So we'll see.

Is Jones gonna be back in the lineup?

Armando said earlier today he was at practice and is expected to play against New England. Wide receiver Danny Amendola, tight end A.J. Derby, linebacker Chase Allen and defensive ends Cameron Wake and Andre Branch were not seen during media availability on Wednesday morning. Amendola typically has this day off so not much of a concern.

ESPN is reporting that Jones was a full participant at practice today which is very encouraging compared to the more common and meaningless "limited" designation.
