Dolphins signed DE Emmanuel Ogbah, formerly of the Chiefs, to a two-year, $15 million contract.
The deal includes $7.5 million guaranteed. Miami's front-seven makeover continues as Ogbah, fresh off a career-high matching 5.5 sacks across 10 games last year, joins Kyle Van Noy and Shaq Lawson among the Fins' defensive additions since the legal tampering window opened. Miami is purely betting on the 26-year-old's upside as he'll hit free agency again at the ripe age of 28.
Ogbah was a 2nd round pick, we are after guys who were selected high that seems to be late bloomers. I'm not familiar with this player but at first glance I like the signing. Have to spread it around so that we don't have a Top 3 player on the D-Line playing next to 5 scrubs.
We appear to be going defense heavy with free agency and will likely address the offense in the draft, probably QB at 5 and then O-Line at 18.
