Thought I'd share a few of the "nuggets" he passes along in the from of the writers' tweets.  hahaha .... I'm sure it will be nothing.

-Chris Grier says Dolphins have studied injury prediction heavily

-Grier on Tua and Herbert: "They're both interesting kids. Really good people, good players. ... We spent a lot of time on the top players. They're both very talented players, intelligent players."

-Grier on if his QB board is set: "It's been really good. The communication's been great. ... We haven't set our final board yet." Said that board will be set by the end of the week/early next week.

- Chris Grier notes at the end of the day it’s what’s on film that’s most important.

-Chris Grier says he and Brian Flores and Stephen Ross will communicate via their computers. They will do a run-through before draft.

- Chris Grier says he has an idea of who they like but the process isn’t over. Teams are calling. Every team calls every team.

- Chris Grier says Ryan Fitzpatrick did a lot for the locker room. But Josh Rosen has progressed, too.

-Grier says Dolphins feel good about “8 or 9 players” at No. 5.

- Chris Grier to Dolphins fans: We’ve spent a lot of time going through this. We’ve spent a lot of time with the players. I would hope they have the trust in us. (On QB)

- Chris Grier says his wife, kids and the pest control guy at his house have all asked who the Dolphins are selecting

- "My wife and kids are worse than you guys [asking who we'll take]."

- Chris Grier says the next two drafts are really important. “If we do the job we can build a strong team here and win for a long time. If we hit it right.”

- Yes, Chris Grier says, talent can overcome injury history in an evaluation. Sometimes the guys you think won’t get hurt do. And vice-versa. It’s all factored in.

- Chris Grier on trade process: "Teams call us. We call every team. Every team calls every team."

I thought the following one was interesting. This would seem to suggest that he's hoping that even if they don't draft the QB that fans want, they'll still respect the decision. That could also mean that all this worry from the fans that they are going to pick Herbert is needless, so it could go either way. Just thought it was an interesting thing to say.

By the way, despite my reservations, if the Dolphins draft Tua I'll be ok with the choice. Wouldn't have been my choice, but I can respect the decision.

I'll be bummed for maybe a week if we draft Herbert, then I'll convince myself that he has a laser rocket arm and proto size, and you can't teach that.

And if Tua is drafted I'll be praying every day he stays healthy and also convincing myself he'll be the best QB the Dolphins have drafted since Marino.

After these comments by Grier I'm convinced Miami will trade their #5 pick to the Raiders for their (2) 1st round picks, and one of their 3rd round picks.
