No personal attacks, please.  If you want to dispute an argument, then do so.

Even if the recipient of the personal attack really really deserves it?   Wink    Personally, people here can insult me all they want.  Wouldn't bother me a bit.  Hell, I'm the first person to call myself a dumbass when I realize I said something dumbassy.

The reason I don't allow personal attacks is because it kills discussion which is the whole point of this place.

You can call someone's argument dumb all day every day.  But calling a person dumb gets you nowhere.

You're encouraged to challenged dumb ideas.  But you gotta accept dumb people.

Oh I know, Dave.  That is why I put the wink emoji in my comment.  It's all good.  I totally understand why the personal attacks aren't allowed.  And it is a good rule to have.  Even when I yank people's chains a little bit in here, it is never really meant to be personal and is meant in good fun.  Being a little older, I'm just more from a generation where kicking each other in the nuts a little bit was just what guys did and it was rarely taken personally.

I appreciate the understanding.  Believe me, sometimes I get so frustrated that I break my own rule and have to go delete my posts or I get called out by the other mods behind the scenes.

ESPN is reporting that Tebow could be used in a Taysom Hill role this season as well as a short yardage specialist.

At this point, it is almost 100% that Tebow is making the roster due to Urban's love for him and the Jags lack of talent. So, if any of you are into prop bets and there are some juicy ones about him making the roster, this is your heads up.

The over/under for TD’s is 2.5. I might put some money down on the over because I see him catching one, full backing one in and then doing a nice jump pass. If they get down a lot I’m sure he will be facing a lot of backups ... LOL

He would make for a decent goal line back, I can see him getting some TD's this year that way and in some QB draw trick plays. However, the Jaguars suck and Lawrence is a rookie. You want to win games but the #1 realistic goal is getting Lawrence developed and you don't want to pull him out too much for trickery just to boost your record to 4-13.

He is worth a 13th or 14th round pick in a 16 round draft

Odds are you will never play him, but he does have an upside.

He would just be a TD Vulture at the goal line via rushing or as a TE. I do not anticipate him making the Pro Bowl but he may stick around for a few years in a gimmick role.

He won't be on the roster by opening game.

The Jaguars released Tim Tebow.

Reports showed that it was obvious he couldn't play Tight End even though he did his best. This is very likely the last time we will hear his name in any official sports capacity aside from broadcasting and maybe one day coaching. He's a good dude but he got some bad luck and even worse advice throughout his sports career. Bad luck with the Jets trading for him for absolutely no reason and bad advice for not switching positions earlier.

I am shocked.  Shocked!  Cheesy I doubt we'll see it here, but I can guarantee you that the reader comments on FoxNews website, Drudge website etc will be chock full of people saying that he is an awesome TE and that the NFL just doesn't want him because they hate the baby Jesus.    Over the weekend I saw a great clip of a play from their pre season game where Tebow goes to throw a block on a running play.  He essentially whiffs on the defender and then runs into his own teammate.  At least he isn't taking up the roster spot of someone who might actually have a chance to make the roster now.

If the baby Jesus would stop cutting those less-than-heavenly farts in crowded rooms, more people would like him. Wink
