-2019 was a tear down year, so technically Year 1 of a rebuild and we went 5-11.
-2020 was Year 2 of the Rebuild and we went 10-6 and missed the playoffs due to tiebreakers.
-2021 is Year 3 and it's worse than ever. At 1-7, we don't even look like we will win another game and no one is being held responsible for it.

We have supported this team for decades and maybe no one here was even alive when they last won the Superbowl. Lots of heartaches but very few trumphs. Is there a moment where you go "Ok, that's it. I can't do this anymore. I'm done with football or picking a new team"? If so, would it be from onfield performance or if we signed a child molester out of prison just because he had good numbers?

I'm not there yet and I don't know if I will ever be, but like with soccer and the Knicks, I might just walk away for a year or more and check back in if things improve. If I want to be angry and sad every Sunday, I'll just start cutting myself.

No, I don't think so.

Football and the Dolphins are so tied into my rituals of family, community, friendship -- that even in losses, it's an important part of life.

I get less invested, for sure -- and don't watch the games as intently, but in general, I stay invested.

I will never root for another team as my favorite team.  If I'm disgusted with the Dolphins, like if they traded for a 22x sexual assaulter, I would anti-root for them much like Randy Quaid in Major League.  And much like Randy Quaid, if he took us to a Superbowl I would change my tune at the end of the movie.

I hope there isn't a final straw for me.  I can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't a die hard Dolphins fan.  Going back to my earliest childhood memories.  Football in general plays a less important role in my life as I have gotten older and other responsibilities require my time and priorities evolve.  But my love of the Dolphins has always stayed strong.  Even my garage is painted Dolphins colors with tons of framed pictures of Dolphins players.

But having said that, with a lot of the nonsense and sheer stupidity that the organization has demonstrated over the last decade or so, the thought of being "done with them" has crossed my mind.  I don't know if I would ever take that step.  And it seems crazy to me that I have even thought about it.  But it is there.

In the game thread yesterday, I said Flores was just "a black Adam Gase". However, after reading your post this morning, I realized something. Gase had a better record than than Flores through 40 games. Gase was 20-20 and Flores is 16-24. So I rescind my comparison to Gase. Flores, at this point is, worse than Gase. That is quite the accomplishment. What fucking universe is this?

That is true with an asterisk. The first year under Flores was a purposeful tank job and he still got 5 wins. However, he is trending down as fast as humanly possible so it would be shocking if after 50 games he isn't truly worse than Gase.

So he did better during a "tank" year than he's doing during our supposed "breakout" year? That fact by itself should have his and Grier's desk cleaned out by the end of the week. I mean, it can get worse. But it can't really get that much worse.

Ultimately, it will all fall on Ross for being stupid and making bad decisions regarding the front office and the coaching staff.

I supported our team as a season ticket holder during a 1-15 year and was there for that 1 win. I used to think there would never be a final straw but I can see them now days. I'm old. I remember when we used to be good and even had a respectable history. I remember when our bad years were 8-8 but we are now punch lines to sports jokes. Like someone said ... many of  the player's parents weren't even born when we last won a Super Bowl.

This regime is done in my opinion. We are worse now than when we at least had hope three years ago.  Flores is overbearing and can only handle inexperienced coaches. He is so weak in that area we now have two poor offensive coordinators because he couldn't find one decent one. Our coaching staff is not good after 3 years. That's all on him and it doesn't look to be getting any better. If his press conferences are any indication he looks to be getting worse.

Chris Grier has failed at every turn. He has had a tremendous amount of high picks and money for free agents. As it is he hasn't found any breakout stars and almost all of his free agent signings have been dumped after one year. He has wasted a ton of resources and is looking to give away more for a QB whose future is a huge question mark.

If Ross keeps these guys or trades for a sexual assault guy who may or may not be able to play then I'm not sure I can continue to support this team until big changes happen. Maybe new ownership or something? Who knows but we are bad, bad, bad and doing what we've been doing for the last three years isn't working.

Getting offended by something you see on the internet is like choosing to step in dog shite instead of walking around it.

Yes, much better. There is almost a 0% chance we match the 5 win total from 2019 unless we fire Flores today.

Despite all of this, I honestly think we have some good talent and a good coach can make us a playoff team. Next year obviously, we are almost mathematically eliminated right now. I still think we can salvage some of our draft picks with better coaching, these kids are young and need guidance. Very few positions can produce from Day 1 based off of raw talent without guidance, positions like RB and WR. We are doing them a terrible disservice but I don't think we failed on every drfat pick. Certainly the Noah one but I think Austin Jackson can be saved, no one can be this bad just based off of physical traits, there has to be some mental stuff there driving him down.

Instead, we have this idiot who thinks he can be a hardass like Belichick without the resume or Football IQ. Even Belichick could only be Belichick thanks to Brady.

Should have went 0-16 that year. Same thing happened in Suck for Luck year.

To be fair, Burrow wasn't going to do anything with this team anyway. If they even let him play over Fitzpatrick.

Back to the question at hand,  the only scenario I see would be relocation and rebranding the team.
