Finally!!! In what seems to be one long summer the team will begin practicing very soon. Rookies report tomorrow and the rest of the team next week. It's on like Donkey Kong this year!!

How is the Florida heat?  In MA, we're in the middle of a HORRID heat wave.  We are also in the middle of a severe drought, which was slightly relived by some rain yesterday

I take this news as good and bad. Always happy the closer we get to football season, but it reminds me that summer goes when football starts. And the heat wave is not horrid. This is my kind of weather 90’s and humid. Let’s Goooo!!!

Glad to see it back.   Now I've got something to watch other than baseball.

Water is wet, Florida is hot. Nothing changes.

Only a person named stinkfish would enjoy 90s and humid. I can't wait for the weather to break because I want to go camping.

Haha Phishfan. Come up to the White Mountains for some camping. I’ve camped down South at a couple of places and it just isn’t quite right. I actually camped in Miami at a place called oletta River State Park, or something like that. It was um,  different.

Haha ... I don't camp in Florida unless it's winter. Too freaking humid for me.  The heat hasn't bothered me much as like you said ... Florida is hot. I don't mind sweating unless I'm in a place where I shouldn't be like out for dinner or in an office. For any outside activity I pretty much expect it.

It is ungodly, like getting warnings on your phone not to go outside, hot.

I've been getting out a yard a little bit in the morning around 8 and it's so ungodly that I can't be out there.   I don't think it would be safe to practice in it.

That's why Saban demanded that the practice bubble be built.   And new studies have shown that working in the heat really doesn't give you an advantage like working in the cold does.

You have to prepare yourself for it. People work out in it like 10-12 hours a day with no issue. Many even wear long shirts which will always baffle me. I tried and can't do it.  It's the person who comes out of the AC and lives dehydraded that has the problems. You have to hydrate yourself prior to going out and that can't start just before you go outside. The less hydrated you are the more it drains you. Just ask visiting teams. In my old HOA many "office workers" would spend much of the weekend outside taking care of their yards so it can be done by the average person.

What is worse for Florida is not that Florida is hot but that Greenland is.  Once all the ice on Greenland melts the oceans rise 21 feet.  That wipes out a good chunk of Florida.  Less than half of that and Miami doesn't exist anymore.

And yet people keep moving here by the millions. Maybe you should do a better job of warning them?
