I've never experienced anything like this in my life

1) I have to put the AC on in my car

2) I am sleeping with the windows open, and I STILL can only use a sheet as covers without overheating.

I am dreading the spring summer.  We are in for the worst.

How do you prepare for that?

Is it wise to stock up on bottled water?  Does bottled water keep for a long time?

I may have to quit my supermarket job in the summer.

I ride with the window down in summer. I don’t like AC. Do you not have running water at your new place? Why stock up on bottled water?  You don’t prepare for it, you just live the way way that you always have. We live in the same area code man, and it’s not the Sahara. I love heat. 80/90 with humidity and I’m happy. If I use the AC in my room then it’s hot. Some nights I’ll cool the room down before bedtime with the AC but I can’t sleep with it on. I get too cold.

We had one of the worst heat waves last summer that I’ve ever seen in this state and it was awful. A bunch of heat deaths at my funeral home. I prefer the cold weather so the future looks bleak to me.

Because man, it’s only gonna get hotter. People been trying to warn us but no one listens.

We had another couple of inches of snow on Tuesday...by today, it warmed up enough to melt it all

Should I stockpile food and water in preparation for the summer?

The US has not been badly hit by climate change yet, but our turn could be coming.  The question is when

Florida is hot as shit every year.  As a native, I'm always surprised when I forget how absolutely scorching it is to get in a vehicle.

You have to use A/C or you will die.  People do.   It's a no-brainer.  It's why it exists.  Also, houses are built for it.  We aren't living in open plantation-style houses with good ventilation and cross-winds.  You can't live in Florida in the Summer without A/C.

Don't drink bottled water.  It's expensive.  It's wasteful.  Water comes out of the tap for free.  Just use a refillable bottle.

You should have a stockpile of emergency rations for any reason, but you're most likely going to deal with hurricanes in FL, not crop shortages.

It has been unseasonably warm this winter in Mass  but it hasn’t been but it hasn’t been warm enough for air conditioning in the car since well before Halloween, stop the nonsense.

When there is a water shortage, wouldn't the water not come out of the tap?

No, it doesn't work like that.

When we have water shortages, there are mandates on things like when you can water your lawn.  Or it's because the water is contaminated and what comes out of the tap needs to be boiled.

We've never experienced no running water, that I can remember.  During hurricanes, people will buy large jugs of water to have clean drinking water and water for cooking, but you can get water lots of different ways (fill up a bathtub beforehand).  Individual bottles of water are not necessary.

Weird but true story. I've lived here my whole life and would agree that July & August produce some ungodly temperatures in Florida. My kids tyically played outside sports in those months and it doesn't get much hotter.

With that said ... one time we played a tournament in Greensboro, NC during the summer. I think it was 2012. We had a heat wave come through and it was the hottest I've ever experienced. It was 102 degress and so hot no one used the elevators in the hotel (this is how I learned hotel elevators don't have AC). Parents on the sidelines couldn't hardly drink water fast enough let alone the kids. It was crazy. We won the tournament beating some great teams we typically struggle with and I have no doubt the heat factor helped us.
