The Chiefs beat the Jaguars today.

That means that the three AFC Pro Bowl QBs - Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow - are all on teams that are still alive in the playoffs, one of which must make the Super Bowl (and therefore be ineligible for Pro Bowl weekend).  The QB that travels to Arizona for Super Bowl LVII will be replaced by the first alternate, who is one Tua Tagovailoa.

Congrats to Tua on making the Pro Bowl.

Should've made it over Josh Allen anyway.

It's probably not the correct stance to take and maybe I will change my tune but as of now if Tua participates in the ProBowl I think it will piss me off. He missed the biggest game of the year that put us in the playoffs and then the playoff game itself. He needs to chill until next season IMO.

Congrats to Tua on making the Pro Bowl.
Good thing it's flag football this year.

I don't want him to play either but I want him to be cleared to play.

LOL, he'll still manage to get a concussion or break a finger.

Maybe, maybe not.  If he doesn’t play he won’t be considered a probowler.  The original selected players are considered probowlers as are alternates that play, but alternates that need an alternate aren’t probowlers

Even if it's flag football I don't want to see Tua out there. Wrap him up in cotton wool and bubble wrap this off season, and get him right for 2023.

Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa remains in concussion protocol, won’t participate in Pro Bowl

The fact he still hasn't been released from protocol seems rather concerning.

It is concerning unless there is no sense of urgency to do so so and they're just letting him rest since the season is over.

I wouldn't doubt if they kept him in the protocol specifically so that he couldn't play in the pro bowl. Flag Football or not, just have him skip it.

Actually it is extremely concerning.  If the concussion protocol means something different in the third quarter of a close game than it does in the off season then you don't have a concussion protocol.

I read that he is still considered a Pro Bowler but it won't effect his contract and activate any bonuses.

Ravens backup QB Tyler Huntley has been named to the Pro Bowl to replace Josh Allen. A rundown of his season:

Tyler Huntley's 2022 season:

658 passing yards
137 rushing yards
3 total touchdowns
3 interceptions
41.2 QBR

This is not a joke, he was named to the Pro Bowl. I guess Teddy Bridgewater declined.
