Again, that's not the same thing.
There's a difference between "I wanted to show everyone that I'm a tough guy" and "After coming back from this major injury, I needed to prove to myself that I can still play normally." And it's not like he kept trying to run people over after that game.
Believe me, I was concerned about whether Tua could mentally recover after the PIT game:
SOTG goes to Tua. His decision making was just terrible. He should have had 3 picks, but even more worryingly, he's trying to bulldoze people to prove some sort of point. This is the one time that I've been really concerned about his viability as a franchise QB. He might be mind-fucked.
Tua needs a LOT of work from the coaching staff in the next week, and very little of it has to do with football. If he doesn't understand how important he is to the success of this team, and does not make decisions accordingly, then he is of little value to the organization.
But we had several games after that in which Tua showed that he understands he needs to protect himself. This doesn't mean throwing the ball away any time a defender gets near you - you can't be successful playing like that - but it does mean protecting yourself instead of trying to run guys over. And it seems like Tua showed after the PIT game that he learned that lesson.
