Will Zach Thomas finally get in or do we have to start burning things?

Someone thinks he's a real chance tonight. Hopefully they are right - otherwise the Mods should move this to the Around the NFL forum.

Congratulations to Zach & all of the other HOF inductees. You can see just how much it means from his reaction!

That was an excellent video...thanks for posting that.

Boy, Darrelle Revis sure has beefed up a bit. When he answered the door, I thought it was an O-lineman. ;-)

He finally gets in and it was well deserved. The guy was an absolute menace on the field and no one wanted to play against him. A true Hall of Famer.

Great video! Kind of sucks how Zach's was so emotional but one of the shortest clips. Hopefully more comes out from that. I was also excited to see Ronde Barber get in from Tampa but not near as much as Zach.

A different video interview with Zach after the other video.

On a side note, I'm wondering if the divorce between Zach's sister and JT has strained the relationship between JT and Zach.  I thought it seemed unusual that JT wasn't at the reveal, but then when they asked Zach who would present him for induction and he acted like it wasn't even a question, that seemed even more strange.  I would have thought he would say something like, "Well, it's a tough choice because I spent so many years on the field with JT and we're obviously very close, but I gotta go with Coach because he's the reason I even had a chance" etc.

My guess is yes.

It doesn't appear they have a great relationship these days. Taylor cheated on Zach's sister several times and then did't pay her the alimony he had agreed to. Theres probably more to the story but that's just what I remember.  She had to sue him to get it. Zach strikes me as an honorable guy and I don't think he would do his sister that way and hang with Jason.  Either way  .... Zach wasn't around when Jason got inducted into the HOF either. I don't think most people talk about out it of respect for Zach as he is very private but there is definitly a rift of some sort.

Jason has publically spoken well of Zach on occasion. After Jimmy was announced Jason said this ... “If it wasn’t for Zach Thomas, I wouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame,” Taylor told me Wednesday at the Miami Beach Convention Center. “He was that dude, a bad you-know-what. Very deserving. He’s got the numbers. He has the resume. There are a few guys that are in that I thought he would be in before or with. His time will come. Hopefully, it will be in a few days.”

I'm not a kid anymore so I basically expect the worst in all professional athletes, but it still kinda sucks when you realize someone you grew up watching is a scumbag. To cheat on your wife sucks, but to cheat on your wife who is your teammate's and close friend's sister? Then have to be sued for alimony? Terrible behavior.

I’m glad Zach got it, he’s one of those guys where heart and smarts take you farther than just size or natural ability. He was a pleasure to watch from basically my first games as a fan.

I’ll always remember his eloquent defense of an aging Marino on some MNF pre-game. Nothing but class.
