He says he is not retiring but if he can't run or jump then he can't play. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Hoodie said first that he was retiring last year while collecting a final payday. Based upon this new statement from Byron, that appears to be the case.

I don't know how truthful he is being, I personally believe he is exaggerating as I would like to think the team would mention these things rather than let the fanbase and media tear him apart based upon speculation. Regardless, he is definitely finished as a Miami Dolphin and what team would even give him a roster invite after these statements?

I was just coming to post this. I tend to think it's accurate. Blowing out an Achilles is serious.

This is more of the "quiet quitting" evidence.  He probably won't play again, I don't think.

Looks like he deleted this messages. He also was telling the upcoming draft class to basically do your own research and don't let team doctors inject you with stuff just to keep you on the field. Very good advice but he deleted it, possibly for legal reasons even though I am sure he has legit grievances with this over the years.

I also think he's agoing to sue the league and the Dolphins. His tweets absolutely look like he blames them. he won't retire because it shows he "wants" to play but just can't.

Very possible, but no guarantee the Dolphins did any "Varsity Blues" stuff to him. While I don't think he is lying, he would need to prove these things and maybe he can't which is why he deleted them later on so that he himself wouldn't be sued for slander. Or, they were deleted because it would hurt his potential future lawsuit.

As long as we can cut him post June 1st and have it help our cap, I don't even care anymore.

Can we go one offseason without getting sued?

Lawsuits, loss of draft picks and head coach drama. That's Dolphins football.
