https://www.profootballnetwork.com/derrick-henry-landing-spots-miami-dolphins-chicago-bears-lead-the-way/

Rumor has it he’s being shopped and I’ve seen a few reports listing Miami as a landing spot.

Probably just dead time chatter for nfl reporters but I’d figure I’d ask.

I would do it if it’s not anything insane a 2nd, or 3 and a 5th maybe? Something in that range.

We have more pressing needs, he had an off year and has some miles, but I  believe he still has a few good years. Bring back Wilson or Mostert and he doesn’t have to carry the team. I absolutely believe he can still take over a game and give much needed relief to the passing game as well as open it up.

I like Henry, don't get me wrong, but I think the money could be better spent.

With the solid RB class in this year's draft - and I see it as a good 6 deep at the top - I would much rather give young talent a chance on a budget rookie contract and try to develop your own. I would bring back Wilson and draft a mid-rounder, and run with that. I'd prefer a RB with good base receiving skills...and give Tua more targets.

How much money do they have to spend?

I think the idea of 2023 is to hope players get healthy.

I know it's stupid, but I can't shake that fumble by Mostert from my mind.

Fair but if we pass on him but don’t draft a RB I’ll be a bit disappointed.

Titans will be lucky to get a 2nd rounder for him. Probably more like a 3rd and 6th. $12.5 Million is a chunk of change.

Would you do it for a 3rd and 6th? I know our cap situation is less than ideal but maybe we could do some restructuring?

I get the risk but if we want a win now mentality I think he has enough juice to give us a a real chance

Nah. Our backs last year were good and with a full year of them, can easily match Henry's production if not exceed it. A team one piece away should definitely role the dice, but our money would be much better spent elsewhere.

Fair enough, we’ll see what happens. If it does materialize I’ll be fine with it but not a big deal if not.

I hope he doesn’t go to Buffalo though

Now THAT would be a problem. We're pretty solid on RB and he doesn't match our style, but adding him to Buffalo would help them greatly. I don't think they're in great cap shape though.

Buffalo is in crap position, cap-wise. They are like 15 million over the cap already. They talked to lots of RBs at the exhibition games and at the combine though, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them add a rook to their RB room.

It should be noted that Genry's YPC last year was 4.4 while both Mostert and Wilson Jr. was 4.9 Now, I know an offense has a lot to do with it and our Passing game opened up the run while the Titans' did not, just stating that he may not be an upgrade at all except on the goal line. I would definitely bring back both guys unless some dumb team gives one of them $7 Million a year. Highly unlikely but you never know.
