Being the NFL, who even knows what the real money is?

Either way, Raheem was great last season and pairing him with Wilson was very good for us. Jeff wants back too so hopefully we bring him back to the fold and we are all set at RB.

We also re-signed Jeff Wilson.

We also re-signed Jeff Wilson.

This was the smart play all along. Good value and two capable backs so neither should have a hefty workload that leads to injury. Plus, they know the offense.

Good to see both Mostert and Wilson back with Miami. Now if the team can replace TE, and add some depth on the O-line, Miami should be in good position.

I saw we resigned Ahmed the other day. I wonder if that means Gaskin is on the chopping block?

I would say we need a new RT, not just depth. Austin Jackson basically pulled a Byron Jones last year and he sucks, so penciling him as anything but a 2nd or 3rd stringer would be a terrible idea. I would hate to have to plug in a 2nd or 3rd round rookie into RT, it's too important with left handed Tua.

Aside from that, just TE is left unless they want a LG too. We don't need an offensive minded TE, just one who blocks so it will be easier to find than a guy like Gesicki.

From what I saw last year, we may need a kicker

He finished strong didn't he? Seems to me he got out of his head the last third of the season.

A competition wouldn't hurt but those can be cheap as well. Sometimes a 6th rounder comes in and wins the job at training camp.

That's the main problem with the Dolphins though. As a team last year we started strong. The year before we finished strong. That's not the way to success. We need consistency throughout the year

We just re-signed Myles Gaskin. So, we brought back all 4 running backs.

We know what we're going to get - Mostert, Wilson and Ahmed were all solid last year, Gaskin adds depth, all for reasonable coin.

I just hope someone teaches them at least a little blocking skills so they can do it when necessary.

I am super disappointed to see Ahmed and Gaskin return.  They did nothing last year.

The only explanation I can think of is that they are placeholders through training camp/preseason, and that Grier will continue to try to find better backfield talent during the offseason.  I'm wondering how much of their contracts are guaranteed.

Salvon Ahmed's contract is for 1 year, $1.45 million, of which $300k is guaranteed ($100k signing bonus and $200k of the salary).

I couldn't find any details on Gaskin's contract, but I would be surprised if it differed too much from Ahmed's. For reference, Gaskin actually got $2.5 million last season, compared to Ahmed's minimum wage deal ($900k).
