So sorry to hear this. He was a great player who lived a great life. We can all hope to make it to 87. RIP Mr. Brown

Arguably the greatest player in NFL history and a champion for social activism throughout and long after his football career ended with the Cleveland Browns, Brown died Thursday night, his wife, Monique, announced Friday afternoon on Instagram. He was 87.

Arguably still the greatest RB in NFL history, the only player in NFL history to average at least 100 rushing yards per game. RIP.

RIP. With someone like Brown you have to weigh out the good with the bad. There is no denying his talent on the field though.

Old school ram-it-down-your-fucking-throat... RIP, Jim...and thanks for playing some cool roles in the movies, like The Dirty Dozen, Ice Station Zebra, etc... as well as some bitchin' cameos.

RIP.  One of three great RB's to come out of Syracuse University, along with Ernie Davis and Larry Csonka.
