The season is finally here and it's not going to be an easy start. West Coast against a good Chargers team. Truth is, predictions the first few weeks are more meaningless than those later in the year because who knows if San Diego will go 3-14 or 14-3? That being said, from top to bottom we are the better team and I'm hoping McDaniel learned a lot in the offseason about clock management and getting plays in.

Armstead could possibly play which would be huge for us. If not, it's going to be a tough day. In the end, I'm optimistic:

Dolphins 157
Justin Herberts 3

I like that you called them "San Diego" - I still do that also.  Glad I'm not alone.

I totally forgot that they moved. Maybe in 10 years I'll remember.

I want so bad to feel like the Dolphins win this game but it seriously seems like one of those games where we are going to chit the bed. Our offensive line is not great and yet our LT looks like he is going to be out. Did we even when a game without him last year?

I'm genuinely scared of this game. I've seen nothing to indicate that the team is even remotely close to beingĀ± ready. They've been sloppy in every aspect of the game. Sure, they all say the right things in the media, but I'm not buying it until I see it on the field.

The injuries don't help, either. I'm hoping the Armsteadt thing is just the usual stuff where he doesn't practice much but plays.

I want to win this game so f'ing bad.  The narrative around Herbert and Tua makes me sick and I'd like to just win one early.   But considering this is a rematch of a pretty recent loss and it's a long travel, it's hard to see us being the favorite.

I'm guessing travel has a lot less of an impact for the first game of the season.
