THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: November 29, 2023, 11:03:19 am »

Tested positive this morning.  It does not feel nearly as bad as the first time I had it

My symptoms this time were leg pain and stuffiness.

I’ve already started to improve.  I will take another test tomorrow.  Maybe it was a false positive.

The leg pain is almost gone

We had it a few months ago. It seems more like the flu now more than it does the first round of Covid. Medicines like Paxlovic also help to get over it quicker like Tamiflu does for the flu.

Praying you get well soon!

My brothers/sisters/mom/stepdad have all had it 2-3 times. I've been fortunate and have avoided it to this point.

My daughter just got it for the 2nd time and she said she felt worse this time than the 1st time she got it around 2 years ago. She had a booster in October. Didn't seem to help much.

Twice. I had it over Christmas and New Years of 20/21 and then again a few months ago.

I am almost certain I've had it but I've never actually tested positive.

Same here.  Never been tested but had all the symptoms.  Could have been another illness however.

I have had the tests and been sick in the house with other people who actively tested positive with it.

Seems like this new thing is China's white lung syndrome.  It causes childhood pneumonia and apparently is spreading here in the states.

I heard something about an increase in childhood pneumonia.  ...jeez...that's all we need.

If you have any belief in the Gaia hypothesis, then it's all part of Mother Nature getting back at us for overpopulating and decimating the planet.

^^^ I imagine it would make a cool science fiction plot...with "fiction" being the operative term.

If you have a few free hours to kill, I recommend binge-watching the 1985 BBC mini-series Edge of Darkness.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edge_of_Darkness

The original six part mini series is multi-layered and multi-themed, almost Shakespearean at times - a lot of it seems as relevant today as it did back in 1985. It is far, far superior to the pale imitation that was the Mel Gibson movie.

Fun fact: The creator of Edge of Darkness (Troy Kennedy Martin) was also the Writer for the 2023 film Ferrari - he died in 2009, so that script must have been in development hell for over 10 years!
